I was just pointing the west end out, friend. Take a look at the east end and see how the channels meander over the years. THAT isn't silly.

kinda self explanatory if you ask me. would most of you want the typical female in charge of directing vehicles launching/retrieving boats at a busy ramp on a Sunday afternoon?

Hello gillnetflounderman, the 60's are calling and they're wondering where you went!

I've met plenty of women I'd love to see have that conversation with you... pretty sure it'd be the last time you publicly made the comment.

I run it sunday in my 35ft on dead low tide and the lowest I saw was 3ft below the boat.

That's good to hear. Sounds about like it has been the last few years. I think the Coast Guard needs to change their minimum depth standard for marking these shallow inlets since 3-4 feet is plenty for most small and mid size boats. We can still navigate the channel but can no longer see where it is without buoys unless it's low tide.

Blame it on my mama since she taught me to be more concerned about people than a bunch of reptiles.

Well don’t fret because the gillnets will thin them. Actually I guess not since comms never report turtle interaction there must be none. But I know you and your ilk want them all dead.

Just got word CG has shelved the plan FOR NOW, they’re gonna move a few buoys and maybe add a few warning markers

Oh good, another genius from the “kill them all” faction. If you can read big words, look up ecosystem.

in case you hadn’t noticed, there’s more turtles around than there’s been in my lifetime. They’re literally everywhere

Would you like to know why? Don't hurt your noodle thinking on it too long.

This always baffled me. A guy once told me this on Ocracoke. I said "well then i guess the program is working" He responded "well, yea....". This stupid plan to save turtles is working and now numbers are back to normal levels instead of the lows of the past and people are complaining that there are to many. No, they are as many as there are supposed to be. Its like and endangered species coming back and then complaining how many there are now. Its complete stupidity.

I am not against more critters but that does not mean I want some freeking grizzle roaming around the woods in my back yard. And when some of you have to pay to have a new lower unit or stern replaced on your boat after running over a large turtle you might be singing a different tune as well.
