Default 1991 Tiara Pursuit 2800 Open, 2009 Optimax DTS twin 200hp motors . $1M OBO

Change in plans, so my beautiful baby is up for sale.
The reason for the price listed, is that I want to give an opportunity for serious buyers to see the boat in person before discussing price. I am listing her here for now at $1 Million "Or Best Offer", as THT rules require a price.
I am looking for a fair price for this beautiful Open. If you are interested in an awesome all around boat that is at home offshore at the canyon, as well as for family day tripping, she is just perfect and requires little maintenance. Just hose her off when you get back to the dock and walk away.
She is the real deal and shows in person far better than in the photos.
She had unfortunately been leaf bombed in the fall before covering and I haven't had a chance to do a full cleaning.
The Topsides are near pristine. The bottom is ready for a fresh coat of paint. The trim stripes are new and the cockpit enclosure was new in 2015.
We have done extensive work to her and she is now bullet proof.

She is 31' overall length with a 10" super roomy beam.

1991 Tiara Pursuit 2800 Open with 2009 Mercury Optimax 200 DTS outboards with Digital Throttle Control and Mercury Vessel View/Simrad Combo.
Engine 1 - less than 300 hrs
Engine 2 - less than 1000 hrs.
I have two sets of props for the boat:
I personally prefer the 4 blade set, which have a slower top end but have the perfect amount of grab for cruising with DTS control around 28 kts.
The 3 blade set are very fast, as i remember the top end is around 40 kts with a full load.
My fuel economy is about 14-16 gallons/ hour at cruise (28 Kts)

I purchased the boat in July of 2015 from the original owner, an elder gentleman in Point Pleasant, NJ.
She had been first commissioned in 1993. She had been well maintained and winter stored in a yacht shed every winter.
During hurricane Sandy, all of the old school existing electronics - stored in the owner's summer beach cottage - were destroyed.

In fall of 2015, I replaced the existing 200 Optimax's with 2009 DTS Optimax 200's(Original in service date of those motors was 2010, so Mercury would actually call those motor 2010's)
These motors came from a lake in Georgia so they were fresh water till 2016. One motor had a brand new head replaced by Mercury(Corporate team) at just under 200 hours. That's why they have different hours on the clock.
These Opti's are everything Merc Opti fans say they are: "extremely reliable, full of torque and sips fuel at troll and cruise".

In a complete refit over the winter of 2015, my 30 year veteran Mercury Master Mechanic assisted completed the refit:
- Install and conduct complete overhaul and tuning of motors
- New upgraded oil/air injection motors installed on both outboards.
- Installing complete new plumbing from the aluminum - Florida Marine Tanks (143 gallon capacity each) to the outboards.
- New oil reservoirs installed
- Purchase and install of Mercury Vessel View 7 system, Digital Throttle Control system and complete new engine/ignition and computer harness system from Mercury.
- New SeaStar Hydraulic steering system
- New Simrad NSS8 ChartPlotter, Depth Sounder with Structure Scan and 3G Radar.
- All new wiring harnesses
- New Engine Batteries(12V, with new Battery switches and isolators)
- New additional heavy duty house Battery Bank (6V deep cycle in series for 12 volts)
- New bilge pumps and fresh water washdown pumps
- New electric head
- New 200 Amp Sony Stereo
- Has 20 Gallon Fresh water tank for washdown
I had intended to add 1 or 2 solar panels on the hardtop this year, which would be an awesome upgrade for off the grid cruising.

The Digital Throttle System is amazing and I would never buy a twin engine boat without it. DTS allows you to:
- Sync engines to run on one throttle lever while keeping both engine in sync RPMs
- Set cruise control at a set RPM instead of speed for very smooth ride.
- See all engine information on one screen or across both screens.
- Mercury Vessel View is a Simrad system so the Chartplotter and Engine info can be spread over two screens
- New Teak swim platform with Stainless Steel telescoping ladder w/ extra submersible dog swim platform
- The bottom of the boat has been stripped down to gelcoat, 3 coats of Interlux barrier coat and three coats of Petit Vivid Offshore ablative bottom paint all sprayed on for super smooth bottom. The bottom has two full seasons and has been smoothed and prepped for a fresh coat. I used Vivid white bottom paint which makes the boat look awesome in the water, as though there is no bottom paint. This paint is super slippery(fuel efficient) and self smoothing.

The Cabin is in 9 out of 10 shape and looks amazing for its age:
- Cushions are all in great shape and super clean
- All carpeting is clean and looks great
- Tiara high quality teak trim throughout cabin and head
- Fully enclosed head with shower and new electric head

The Tiara has its original hardtop and aluminum structure.
The cockpit full enclosure was brand new when I purchased the boat and is in great shape.
The cockpit bolsters were new in 2016
The only thing on my to do list for this or next season is to recover/replace the hlm seat cushions and passenger cushions.
Please understand that the photos are of a leaf bombed and dirty cockpit.

For more information please feel free to ask for information or request a viewing.

Serious buyers/offers will be taken seriously.
If you know what this boat is and have experience then you will know what she is worth.
Please do not make offers without seeing her.
No low ball offer please

Thanks for looking.

Rule D in the sticky post on Complete Trading Dock Guidelines states you must have price in your ad.

Due to the unusual price asked for this boat and the 7 replys by non-purchasers that we had to dele5te, we have closed the ad to comments. If you are interested in purchasing the boat, please send the seller a PM or email.
