Thank you for the link. I have spoken with the owner but I have a max budget of $70K. Great boat just wish he didn’t have the new trailer or I’d have bought it already.

New 2017 Robalo 246 Cayman, Metairie, La - 70003 - BoatTrader.com

maybe since it’s a leftover 2017 model they’ll negotiate with you to your price if you’re willing to buy a boat in Louisiana.

You could sell the trailer, probably would bring $4K. I am sure he has over $90K in it. I had close to that in my 2015 246.

Looking at past sales since January 2018 on here and BoatTrader, a very well optioned 2016 should sell for between $65-70K. I guess I missed the boat so to speak on the 4 really nice 2016's that sold since January before I started looking. I'm not a tire kicker and I'm ready to buy the right boat at the right price; I also refuse to overpay. Jorge has had his boat for sale since December while 4 other comparable boats have sold in the upper $60K range. His boat is probably the nicest of the bunch and has a couple other options but that's kind of like putting a pool in your house or adding aftermarket options to a car--you never get out what you put in. We are closing on a new beach house May 1st so I have to stick to my cash budget. I can't really fish until the last week of May so I'm hoping something turns up by then or Jorge comes down on his price. I'm also considering other fishing but family friendly boats I can take 4 girls out on from time to time and provide them with a dry ride, shade, a head, and bow seating. I'm considering Ranger (2510 or slightly smaller?), Crevalle (24 Bay?), and Sportsman (247 Masters?). My must haves are a jack plate, trim tabs, trolling motor, and basic electronics or the boat must be priced accordingly for me to add these features. I am not concerned with a PowerPole as I have a friend that works for JL Marine.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the kind comments about my boat. I am surely going to miss her but I've realized I'm a meat/offshore guy.

The big difference between my boat and the others is really the trailer. Sure, I have a couple more options than the other comparables but the big ticket item is the trailer. I'm open to keeping the trailer and negotiating a lower sales price. We could even work out the delivery of it.

Thanks,

Jorge

Crazy day. Found 2 unadvertised boats after considering a new boat and taking a demo. Long story short put a deposit down and hope to pick up by the end of week pending inspection. Had credit card in hand ready to send deposit to a dealer on another consigned boat until I got the contract emailed and it was full of added fees and some inherently different facts than first described.

I'll try Facebook.

Did you get them from Facebook Marketplace or Robalo Groups?
