I purchased a build position about a 1 1/2 years ago. Some things have changed in life recently and it looks like I am going to need to sell this position. I am by no means moving away from Freeman (I will be back in a year or two). They are the nicest guys you will meet and build a first class product. I will provide a bill of sale for the position and send you and Freeman a copy. As far as the build date is concerned I believe it will start mid-late next year. Could be sooner due to the new facility. We can confirm with Scott. Asking $40k OBO.

I think people were just confused as to what the deposit amount that would be transfered is, trying to understand exactly what is being sold because it wasn't clear by what the seller said in the OP.

Your point is well taken. For your and others information, the Trading Dock forums are not discussion forums. Our position in this particular ad is that the OP posted a for sale ad that included a price, and if a member is interested in purchasing the sellers deposit they are welcome to post such in the ad, or send the seller a PM (he has not made his email available) - that is what the Trading Dock forums are for - to sell and to buy. In this particular ad, there were numerous posts/replys from members who obviously had no intention of purchasing what the seller was selling, as the reply's turned into a free-fall of suggestions, suppositions and/or non-purchaser comments, and those posts were removed.

While we agree that this as well as several other similar deposit for sale ads are different, these OP's are selling an item, and one of our jobs is to keep for sale ads in all of the Trading Dock forums on track. It's a herculean task, and we miss many many off topic posts/reply's in the Trading Dock forums. But like you and hundreds of other members, anything to do with a Freeman boat catches our attention.

We understand that a deposit for sale is not a common for sale item, and any member who is serious about purchasing same should do their due diligence directly with both the seller and the manufacturer that holds the deposit, rather than expect either to discuss their personal monetary situation in an open web forum. " . . . . . what the deposit amount that would be transfered" is, is between the seller and purchaser, and if non-purchasers want to discuss or debate what they think the deposit amount to be transferred would be, Dockside Chat is the proper forum to do so.
