Thank you - its a great little motor - lots of power - These boats are sensitive to weight so a four stroke (my normal go to motor) was not an option - I must have liked it as I just bought another one for a Whaler Im working on.

I knew people were gonna ask fuel burn etc so I took it out the other day - ran wide open throttle - 40 mph - 7.7 gallons per hr - or 5.2mpg. I was surprised by that - with a 30 gallon tank its got good range for a 16 foot flats boat.

Nice boat, just bought a Hewes 18 Redfisher with a f115 Yamaha. It is a used boat, was looking for something like yours 3 weeks ago, timing is everything I guess. Just my luck.....Good luck with your sale.

Love the boat, and I bet that Evinrude does power it nicely. It makes me want to sell my skiff and upgrade. As stated above, just the wrong time for me. Not that you want my advice, but damn those pvc rod holders. It's like bad undersize tires in a classic car.

Thank you guys - as for the rod holders - boat came that way and I assumed they were factory, I've seen them on other similar age models of the boat.
