Default SOLD SOLD SOLD Century 3000 Sport Cabin 1998 Twin 250 Yam OX66

1998 Century Sport Cabin with Twin Yamaha 250 OX66 Saltwater Series II

$22,500

Second owner purchased in 2003. Very attractive layout to satisfy both the serious fisherman and the family cruiser. The helm is on centerline with the standup shower and head inside the counsel. Forward of the helm is an L Shaped seating area that comfortably sits three adults. Forward cabin has microwave, single burner pull out cook top and frig. The V Berth has an insert with additional storage sleeping room on the starboard side of the cabin.

Large Live Well and bait prep station on the transom. Two enormous fish boxes to port and starboard deck. Plenty of room in the cockpit to fish 4 adults and a wide walk around to work a fish to the bow. Seating with cushion up front and a windlass to make the anchorman happy. New Ensign Glass in 2012. Removable Crows nest up top.

The vessel has been lift stored since 2003. Unsure of hours on the engines, best estimate 500-700 hours. The vessel was fished frequently from 1998 to 2003 and has been lightly used as a bay and sandbar boat for the past 11 years. Annual services have always been completed and the boat is run for maintenance every 3 weeks when not in constant use. Upholstery is in great condition and cosmetically the boat is in great shape. Bait Well Pump, Raw Water Wash Down Pump and Fish Box Macerator Pump need to be replaced. Engines have been well maintained and run very well. All Yamaha gauges are in great condition.

"Location and gas mileage, please?
Have the engines had an inspection lately?"

Location?: Sarasota, FL
Have the engines had an inspection lately?: I complete the majority of the maintenance myself, ran it yesterday and it is running well. I have had no formal "inspection" other that completing suggested maintenance. Will demo to serious buyer who is making an offer. I am open to any inspection at the buyers cost.

Cut and Paste this site. It is a review of the boat with the same power to get an idea of fuel burn, layout description, etc. Thanks for the interest.

Nice boat for the money, If I could quickly sell my Century 2600 with the same engine (SWSII 250 OX66) I would be all over this. GLWS

Wow, I'm not familar with this model, but love the layout. What type of fuel numbers are you seeing and is their a trailer?

No Trailer, Best Cruise I would expect 1.4MPG at 3800RPM at 31MPH average load, average conditions.

EVERYONE loves this layout, perfect for fishing, cruising, family, sand bar. Most of the depreciation has been taken on this boat. The original owner paid 119K (Ouch). You could run this boat for several seasons and still sell and not take a big hit. Keep for three seasons and look for a pair of 250 Four Stokes (2007-2008) that will be hitting the market in a couple of years when others are repowering to new technology. Do not miss out.

The admiral and I looked at this boat today. I think that it is a good boat at a great price. We would own it now if we did not already own 2 other boats. The seller is a good guy and the boat shows well. It should sell soon.

Is there any specs for the boat? Weight with engines, draft etc etc. Just wondering if she would be trailer-able?

I searched somewhat and did not find anything but I'm sure someone will prove me wrong.

With the correct rig you can trailer anything. I am not certain of weight, but it would not surprise me if you needed a truck that could handle 12,000 lbs.
