These are cool little boats! I had a 14' Livingston when I was stationed in Hawaii, we ran hell out of that thing in Kaneohe Bay, even had it 7 miles out once trolling at the buoy, had a little 2 stroke 25hp motor on it. Great boats these are! GLWS Capt.

How much power does it take to push these? What year is it? Too bad the numbers are painted on the side like that

I had a 25hp on my 14' and it was plenty! Also, you could easily paint it yourself...

forgot to put the rated HP of 9.9 but included now. Yes, spray painted numbers are unsightly but easily removed.

Default Impressive performance

So I finally had an opp to put an engine on this 2 days ago and take it for a rip. With 2 ppl weighing in at about 360 pounds, a 6 gallon gas jug and with only an 8 HP Yamaha 2 stroke we were MOVING! I estimate around 16-18 MPH in about a 1' chop. The lil 8 HP didnt make us leap up on plane, but once there it zipped along.

While I cant keep this on the dock to use as a tender, I will keep an eye out for a larger one to use as a little striper boat.

Still available........great little boat, no pounding, dry, stable and moves very well with very little power. I will be purchasing an 8' Livingston to fit in the racks on dinghy float.

We have sold a few of those with a 9.9 yamaha four stroke and with 2 people they run around 20mph real comfortable in a stiff chop if anybody is curious
