I thought you had sold her...

I got a call from my BIL just today, saying how bad he wants a BW30 & to help him find one. I sent him your listing way back when - I'll send it to him again now.

This boat should have sold by now. The 30 Blackwatch has a really nice layout. I walk by one at my docks every time I take my boat out.

this is a sweet boat at a great price, there are quite a few up here in the NE, my buddy had a 26 Black Watch with twin OB's and we ran that boat offshore quite a bit, the 30 is an extremely fish friendly layout, I always walk over and check a few out in our marina, they have a huge cockpit, Some one will really love this boat,

Default boat

This boat has been for sale for a while. It seems to be a good deal. Combined with the Good price, and a good engine package, I ask myself , will it pass a hull survey ? It is an early model cored hull. Will this be an issue ? This is a very nice boat at the right price. Any issues ?

To be honest I've been keeping an eye on this boat for a while but I have the same concerns as lobster boatman. Did you ever think of getting a survey of the hull done and having a copy ready for potential buyers? It's a bueatiful boat, no doubt about it but the cored hull scares some people. Like you said, your buyer might be someone from the north east. Having a survey handy would make the process a lot easier for someone far away. Just a suggestion

The price for this boat is more than fair with the equipment & power it has. I have 500 plus hours working on an 88 Blackwatch just like this one when I was younger that was a charter boat. This boat will give an easy economical 25+ knot cruise and will perform when the the weather turns for the worst. This boat has a huge cockpit for a 30 footer too. It won't give the headsea ride of the Blackfin, and you will have to back down a bit. However there is no day you would take out a 29/32 Blackfin where you wouldn't take out a Blackwatch 30. It's also very good in a following sea and better than the Blackfin on the drift.

If I didn't re-power my blackfin I would have no hesitation buying this boat for my charter business pending a survey. I know a good deal of these boats that are used for charters as well.

There is a 30 Blackwatch dry stored next to my boat right now. The main seals on the engines are leaking, the shafts are loose, and the boat has been maintained to the absolute minimum. Just sold for $20K. It would take $50K to get that boat in any condition close of Wolakbrabs boat.

Guys, I appreciate all the feedback and compliments. That said, I am taking her off the market. She will be coming to the upstate for a major re-fit...and I will be doing the work myself, so I know it will be done right.
With that in mind, I'd like to close this thread with my thanks to all who have inquired and shown interest.
