Default Formula 233 Center Console- Must See!!

Formula 233 center console
The entire hull has been rebuilt with epoxy resin and all things are new within the past year:
New stringers
Transom
Walk in console with room for a porta potty
Non skid deck
Hatches
Rubrail
All new stainless hardware
Interlux Perfection paint inside and out
Switch panels
Wiring
Huge storage space under deck and in console
New Rule 1500 gph bilge pump
New Rule Tournament series 800gph live well pump
All new SS rod holders on gunnels and on leaning post
150 gallon aluminum fuel tank with twin engine pick ups
SS through hull fittings
All new hoses including fuel lines and filters
Large insulated forward fish box
Self bailing even with twin 250’s

It has a brand new custom made T top with Sunbrella fabric, radio box w/buss bar, 3 piece curtains, 6 gold rod holders, zippered life jacket holder, LED flood lights, a mounting plate for radar and antennas, stern light and has welded plates with 3” holes ready for outriggers. I was really picky about the top and Modlin’s welding did a perfect job.
The 2010 Venture trailer is an aluminum tandem axle with aluminum mag wheels and 7000 lb capacity. It has about 800 miles total since when I bought it new.
Also included with the boat are 2 Penn Fathom master 625 downriggers with extendable booms and swivel bases, VHF radio and high gain antenna with SS mount, compass, LED bow light, leaning post with back rest that includes a built in insulated bait prep area and 40 gallon live well with several rod holders,

It took me 1.5 years to rebuild this boat. I raised the deck 1.5” to make sure it would self bail with twins, including 4 strokes. I installed a bracket and twin 250 Mercury outboards. It would run upper 60’s with 500 hp. I used the boat from Sept-Nov 2011, 5 fishing trips. I decided to sell the engines and in the spring go with a single 4 stroke 250-300hp. It would run 49mph on gps with only one 250 engine running and the other one tilted up.
So I sold the engines, controls, twin bracket and steering. I unfortunately will be selling the boat instead of repowering it. My son starts college this fall and my other son needs help buying his first truck. On top of that, my wife’s boss cut her hours to part time so I need to let go of things that I don’t need right now.
I looked for 2 years for one of these hulls because they are the best riding 23’ ever. I found it in Virginia and brought it back to NC to rebuild it. You will not regret buying this boat. It will run in a 4’ head sea at 45 mph without any problems. I rebuilt it for rough weather fishing with high hp. From the t top to the 3.5” thick transom and everywhere in between, you will not find a 23’ Formula this nice for the price.
I have clear titles in hand for boat and trailer. $12,900. 252-728-6923

Wow, that thing is gorgeous! You should put some of the rebuild pics up, folks are interested in seeing what and how it was done.

That console was made for Mako boats. I found it at a marine surplus store for $800+ the door$179. I hate to sell it really but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

What materials were used for the stringers and floor?
Also, what does a twin engine bracket run like the one you had?

Beautiful--I still rue the day mine was stolen. Great ride.

Someone will be blessed.

I do have pictures of the rebuild. They are on my old computer and have not been transferred yet to my new one. Lots of work went into it. I feel as if I'm losing a member of the family.

Default Formula 23

Did that start as a center console ? I had the cuddy version. You are correct, it is great sea boat that cuts through almost anything. Very cool project, and yes it would be great with a 225 4 stroke. I had a 200 HP merc, although it originally came with twin "tower of power" 115's.

Is it sold ?

Yes, it was a center console to begin with. I had a hard time finding it too. The boat is sold pending payment. I'm supposed to get a deposit today.

I know that is a bitter-sweet sale, but congrats on the the quick turn over. It says a lot.for the quality of your rebuild. I hope you see another one in your future.

Thanks. I didn't know what to price it at but I guess I did it right. All those long hours of work are gone but I have to admit I did enjoy the rebuild. Especially after how it looked at the end. I will post the rebuild pics as soon as I can transfer them.

Did it sell with engines? That's one of my favorite boats...
