1985 Rampage Express 31, repowered w/ twin Cummins 315bta's. Oil & Filters changed every 100hrs. New shafts, ZF gears, nibral props, 6kw open array navnet w/ gps, standard vhf, ac,curtains,80 quart icey tek. Also includes, heat, 6 man liferaft, Koden color sounder, icom vhf w/ hailer, cetrek propilot, ditigal phone & am/fm radio antenna, vac flush head w/ sink & shower, fridge w/ freezer, stove,4 bunks 80gal livewell, 256 gal fuel, 55 gal water tank, integrated oil change pump, saltwater washdown, portable gas generator, spot light, lee fighting chair (not picturered),rupp 25' outriggers, tuna door, blockheaters, and more. This is an all around solid economical boat that cruises between 23-25kts 15 to 17gph. It runs better than any boat I have ever owned. I hate to sell it but, I am moving and cant take it with me. The engines have only 1600hrs on them. My mechanic says that if they are taken care of, you could expect as much as 4000 to 8000 hrs before a rebuild. 49K. May consider partial trade for smaller late model 20'-25'. Call Dave @ 757-617-8080.

Its a good riding hull. This boat is heavier than a lot of the newer rampages and in my opinion rides better. The tower does not fold and it is pretty high. I do have collapsing outrigger supports to get the riggers under a bridge near where I keep the boat.

Bogi, I have literally thousands of hours and tens of thousands of miles on a 31 Rampage and without a doubt have to say that for a 31 foot boat hands down they are an incredible hull. I spent many years tuna fishing one. They will troll in a beam sea in shit you can not even imagine. Probaly the best beam sea boat you will ever get on and following seas are excellent as well. Some people will say they are hard riding in a head sea and thats sort of true but as with any vessel there are pro's and con's and to get beam and following seas qualities like they have its worth taking it hard on the nose on occasion. The 85 was built by Tiltson Pearson in RI who actually was a sailboat manufacture and the quality is excellent. The boat I ran was actually the first production one they sold it was hull number 3 or 4 and was an 84. Its an entirely diffrent boat than what is now considered Rampage as TP no longer builds them. They are derived from Bonita hull that Dick Lema designed. As for the tower you don't notice a diffrence if its on or off as far as roll. I honestly would never have believed it if I had'nt experienced myself. Well good luck to the both of you and if you have any other questions feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks for the kind words there capemariner, I couldn't agree with you more. I had a cat before this boat and the only advantage of the cat was in a head sea. But by the end of the day I was twice as beat up in the cat than on the ramage. With the 11'11" beam it is definitely a more all around stable boat.

bogii,
This boat is a lot more maneuverable than most boats half this size. You can walk it beam to, fish bridge pilings or buoys and easily keep it in position. You can "twin screw" it and turn the boat in its own length. The boat is in the water in VA Beach if anyone would like a test run. Unfortunately, the boat needs to go. Bring offers!

Yeah that's me! I like the black too. Its allgrip so it's easy to maintain and I don't have to waste allot of time waxing. One of my previous boats I would have to wax it two or three times a year just to make the gel coat look decent. Come on by and look at the boat. I am hauling the boat today for a douche and a bottom paint job. I will try to post some more pics tonight or tomorrow.
