Default FS: Considering selling 2003 23 Regulator REPOWER 2018 300 Suzuki

Considering selling our 2003 23 Regulator Classic to upgrade. Family owned since new in 2003. Owned by my Dad until 2019. My wife and I purchased the boat from my dad when he upgraded to a 31.

Preliminary listing with some additions noted below:

Power/Electronics/Refit

· Repowered in 2018 with Suzuki 300 fly by wire/electronic controls under warranty (196 hours. Just rebased 100-hour service at 196 hours, zinc anodes, and water pump by professional Suzuki mechanic)

· New Raymarine Axiom Pro 12 MFD with radar, sonar, Sirius XM, Navionics, and all other lighthouse applications

· Upgraded Sirius XM weather receiver and antenna for weather and Sirius XM music

· New Shakespeare Phase III AM/FM and VHF antennas with new wiring

· New JL sound system with tower speakers, 10 in subwoofer, two amplifiers, and JL MM100 head unit

· New heavy duty trim tabs with automatic retraction (installed Fall 2020)

· Center console professionally re-glassed at base and re-sealed in 2019. Solid foundation!

· COMPLETE RE-WIRE in January 2021. Re-located batteries to center console, re-located battery switch to CC side compartment, installed battery charger (2020) with plug in station easy access near stern, new rocker switches from New Wire Marine, new CBs, and all new wiring to every system and component.

Accessories:

· Dual bilge pumps and heavy duty float switches on separate systems for redundancy. (New pumps Installed in 2020)

· New saltwater washdown pump

· Installed 10 gunnel mounted rod holders for 360 fishing around boat. Cup holders installed in bow gunnel.

· Lee’s Telescoping outriggers

Interior:

· New CC leaning post seat cushion made with high density foam in Winter 2020-21 (some pics from this Fall show old leaning post cushion - new cushion is thicker and extends all the way aft to rod holders)

· Coaming pads recently replaced and in excellent condition (look brand new)

· Seadek ruler and helm pad

· Orca 75 qt “coffin box” installed in bow

· Gaff storage and brush storage holders installed March 2021

**NEVER BOTTOM PAINTED** Trailer or rack stored.

This boat really is a beast for its size. With the 160 gallon tank, this thing has some range!

I have fished the boat inshore and offshore since 2003 and it has given us a ton of family memories...but we are slowly outgrowing it with two kids. Looking to upgrade to a larger center console with twins, dual console, or express for more family friendly amenities in the intracoastal while still keeping offshore fishing capability.

Preliminary listing as we have to get into the right boat to be willing to sell our Regulator…

Preliminary asking price at $78k with trailer. I trust the feedback on this forum so please give me your honest feedback.

Thanks,

Jack

We average 2.3-2.6 mpg at around 30 mph loaded up with 2-4 adults and a few kids, and half-3/4 tank. When loaded up for fishing (full tank, ice, bait, gear, etc), low 2's, but I try not to use a full tank especially if my trips are within 30 nm. WOT in mid 40's depending on load. I'll be out this weekend and will run it through RPM ranges and speeds to get more accurate numbers if needed.

Where's the boat located? I'm in Pensacola and would like to take a look if you are selling?

Since you asked for feedback I think 78k for 24 ft 2003 is just a little steep even with rewire and fairly new power. I think 65-70k would be a fair deal for buyer and seller. The boat looks clean and I think you will have it sold by next week.

Good luck

Quality older boat but in what looks to be excellent condition and newer power is a perfect setup in my book. It's a hot market, you might get close to what you're asking. Keep in mind anything you trade into is going to be inflated too, though.

Thanks! Appreciate all the feedback. Boat is originally from the northeast. Brought it to FL in 2019.
