Default World Cat 250DC

Up for sale is our 2004 World Cat 250DC. We are the third owner, bought from a family friend who had owned it for over 12 years. This boat shows almost new, very well taken care of and maintained. Everything on this boat works as it should. We sold our 31’ Fountain and moved to this boat, simply because of the ride and weather protection it provides. This is our first Catamaran, and once I learned how to trim her, this boat impresses me completely. It is truly a do-everything boat. Sand bar visits, ICW cruising, island hopping, diving, in-shore, near shore or offshore fishing, she’ll get itdone.
  • I am the third titled owner, bought it from a personal friend who owned it for 12 years
  • Never kept in the water
  • No bottom paint
  • New Garmin 12” GPSMap XSV with Down Scan / Side Scan / Chirp
  • Furuno Radar
  • Honda BF150 outboards – FULLY serviced and ready to go - ONLY Ethanol Free Fuel has been used since new
  • Metal thru-hulls
  • New Group 27 AGM Batteries
  • Fresh Water Head – Never Used
  • Lewmar Windlass
  • Eisenglass Enclosure
  • Full Cover
  • Tandem Axle trailer – brand new tires and wheels - Load Distribution Hitch included
  • Brand new custom aluminum dive ladder and swim platform
  • Bow Table / filler for full cushions up front
  • LED Spreader Lights
I had planned to keep this boat into retirement, but I got transferred from the Clearwater/Tampa, FL area to South Carolina. We are inland, near Columbia, SC… and we are just not using the boat. I hate to see it sitting on the trailer, not being used.

All of the OEM Plastic Thru-Hulls were replaced with stainless steel. Factory hard top, with full Eisen-glass enclosures, all cushions are in perfect condition. The fresh water head in the Port Side hull has never been used. Has fresh / raw water wash down, live well in the Port aft rear, large fish box across the transom. Tons of storage on this boat.

Motors are Honda BF150s. Starboard motor had the powerhead replaced by a factory replacement unit and now has roughly 180 hours on it. Compression is solid at 211,212,212, 211 and runs like a Swiss Watch. The Port motor blew a head gasket (overheated) with 780 hours on it. I had Sam at Werner Performance Marine in Seminole, FL find a low hour (480 hours) 2012 Honda BF150 to replace the entire outboard. Both motors have had top to bottom full service done, to include new plugs, filters, oil change, and lower unit service. Three brand new Group 27 AGM batteries are also included. Throttle / Shift cables are also new.

The trailer is an aluminum, dual axle with synthetic bunks and side rail guides. I have a load distribution hitch that is also included. All four tires / wheels on the trailer are brand new. Hubs have been inspected and packed. Trailer is road worthy and ready to go.

The boat had an Armstrong style swim ladder, but I had a custom aluminum swim ladder / platform made by Tom Foley at Marine Specialties in New Port Richey, FL. This ladder is much like the OEM ladder that World Cat uses, but is much nicer and very well made.

The Garmin GPSMap XSV is a 12” MFD with Side Scan, Down Scan, Chirp, etc. was installed by the previous owner in late 2018. The Furuno Radar is the dome style, with separate display.

The boat was recently detailed, hull was waxed and buffed. The gelcoat shines like new. This is a great, solid, well rounded boat, ready to go to someone who will use it. Now that I have owned and used a World Cat, it will be very difficult for me to go back to a mono-hull. Life took a turn for us, and this boat needs to go to a new home. I am asking $52k for everything, open to reasonable negotiation. I have a free, clear title, and she’s ready for her new home.

Delivery is an option for an additional fee. Located in Camden, SC.

I tried to edit the original post, to add some pictures, but I can't figure out how to do it.

So, here are a few recent pics showing the condition of the head, and cushions, etc...

Boat is sold, new owner has possession. Thankfully, he's close to us, so maybe I can still fish her from time to time!

Thank you all for the interest. This boat will definitely make the new owner happy!
