Default 1991 Tiara Pursuit 2800 Open, 2008 Optimax DTS 200hp's NEW PRICE!!!!!

1991 Tiara Pursuit 2800 Open

NEW PRICE $30,900!!!!!

2008 Mercury Optimax 200's.
Engine 1 - Less than 400 hrs
Engine 2 - Less than 1000 hrs.

I purchased the boat in July of 2015 from the original owner, a gentleman in Point Pleasant, NJ.
She had been first commissioned in 1993.

In 2016, I replaced the existing Optimax's with 2008 DTS Optimax 200's(Original in service date of those motors was 2010)
One motor had a brand new head replaced by Mercury at just under 200 hours. That's why they have different hours on the clock.
These motors came from Lake Lanier in Georgia

In a complete refit over the winter of 2016, my 30 year veteran Mercury Master Mechanic assisted me in the refit:
- Install and complete overhaul and tuning of motors
- Installing complete new plumbing from the metal - Florida Marine Tanks (143 gallon capacity each) to the outboards.
- New oil reservoirs installed
- Purchase and install of new Mercury Vessel View 7 system, Digital Throttle Control system and complete new engine/ignition and computer harness system from Mercury.
- New SeaStar Hydraulic steering system
- New Simrad NSS8 Chart plotter, Depth Sounder with Structure Scan and 3G Radar.
- New Engine Batteries, with new Battery switches and isolators
- New additional heavy duty "house Battery Bank" (6V deep cycle in series for 12 volts)
- New bilge pumps and fresh water wash-down pumps
- New electric head
- New 200 Amp Sony Stereo
- Has 20 Gallon Fresh water tank for wash-down

The Digital Throttle System is amazing and I would never buy a twin engine boat without it. DTS allows you to:
- Sync engines to run on one throttle lever while keeping both engine in sync RPMs
- Set cruise control at a set RPM instead of speed for very smooth ride.
- See all engine information on one screen or across both screens.
- Mercury Vessel View is a Simrad system so the Chart plotter and Engine info can be spread over two screens
- New Teak swim platform with Stainless Steel telescoping ladder w/ extra submersible dog swim platform
- The bottom of the boat has been stripped down to gelcoat, 3 coats of Interlux barrier coat and three coats of Petit Vivid Offshore ablative bottom paint all sprayed on for super smooth bottom. The bottom has two full seasons and has been smoothed and prepped for a fresh coat. I used Vivid white bottom paint which makes the boat look awesome in the water, as though there is no bottom paint. This paint is super slippery(fuel efficient) and self smoothing.

The Cabin is in 9 out of 10 shape for its age and looks amazing. It's very clean:
- Cushions are all in great shape and super clean
- All carpeting is clean and looks great
- Tiara high quality teak trim throughout cabin and head
- Fully enclosed head with shower and new electric head

The Tiara has its original hardtop and aluminum structure.
The cockpit full enclosure was brand new when I purchased the boat and is in great shape.
I am currently installing a new $1000 Ladder-back Helm and passenger seats. Helm seat is installed and in photos. Will post picture of passenger seat when installed.

Default Price Drop $30,900

Can't believe the boat hasn't sold yet. Price dropped to $30,900.
See this boat in person and you will want to buy it.
Boat is across the street from boat ramp and can easily be sea trialed.

Where are you located? Any idea of fuel burn numbers? Cruise and max speed? Has the hull ever been surveyed?

Located in Stamford Connecticut
There are two sets of props.
With the 4 Blade props I cruise around 27-29knots and burn about 16 gal/hour. WOT about 35knots. I prefer these props. I can set the RPM's synced for both motors at 3850rpms and punch through snot with ease. She also pops out tf the hole quick with these props.
With the 3 blade props WOT is about 36-38 knots and I burn around 22-25 gal/hour. Just don't need the top end speed.
BTW these motors only weigh about 490lbs each, and put out way more torque than a 4 cylinder 4-stroke can.

I am the second owner of this boat. the original owner kept indoor stored it until 2015. The hull has not had a official survey. However, I have been around yachts professionally for over 40 years, building, racing and rigging. This boat is very solid and if after seeing her you need a survey, I don't think you will be wasting your money. I hand pick my boats for the hull and fittings. This boat had older Optis on her and I just pulled them off and re-rigged the newer fresh water motors. I wouldn't have wasted my time on a tired old hull. BTW, if you've ever actually checked out the layup of an S2 built Tiara, there is very little out there that is built this way. She's a rock and the stainless, teak trim and tanks are made to last forever.

I've ben in every nook and cranny of the boat and installed the teak swim platform. The transom is rock solid.

I'm selling her because my marina is silted in and I can't get in or out within 2.5hours either side of low tide. I can't schedule any fun time with the moon phase.

Sending you my contact info in a PM.
