Default New to Forum

Hi fellow members I am new to this Forum but have read it for a while now.
Just bought a 1996 Proline 251 Walkaround with 5.7L Mercruiser and Bravo 3 drive it is a soft top with a tower has a 9.9Merc Kicker and seems to be in real good shape My harbor is Leamington Ontario about 30 miles south east of Detroit and is on Lake Erie.
Unfortunately this time of year the only place for the boat is in storage.
any info regarding this model would be greatly appreciated. thanks for looking.

Not boating related but is your user name linked to a rifle?

well it is in storage for the winter but a couple of things I will have to do in the spring
I am sure they have tampered with the water for deck wash, bait hatch, and transom sink
also will have to look in to the water system in the cuddy other than that I think the boat overall is in real good shape good to have someone I can bounce questions off of
what type of power do you have? thanks for replying Jack

The boat planes down to about 15 knots which helps in sloppy conditions.
For power, I started with VP 7.4 then 5.7. I completed an outboard conversion to Suzuki DF300.
Best to convert bait/ washdown from single pump to 2 dedicated pumps off single through hull.
Fresh water pump is behind the port panel. Those hoses are subject to splitting if system is not winterized.
Search my posts for more info and comments on your 251.
