There's been a lot of talk lately here about PVCX board.
I've been working with it for about 10 years now as a hobby. A good friend of mine keeps snakes as pets and came to me with the idea of building snake cages out of the PVCX sheet. A couple of manufacturers were doing it back then so we took some of the design elements and made our own cages.
It occurred to us that the cages were very similar to a boat electronics box, so we did end up building one for my boat. Unfortunately I got rid of the boat shortly after that. I never got to see how well the box held up.
I have been looking at a scrap of white pvc sitting in my garage and thought I might give another one a try. Due to the size of the sheet i figure it will be about 10" high by 14" deep by whatever width it needs to be.
I no longer have a boat so thought maybe someone in my area would want to bolt this thing up and see how it holds up. A Guinea pig I guess.
I'll probably start on it this weekend. I need to make the trip down to Marine Connection and find some black acrylic for the door and a ss gas shock or spring to hold it open and a latch.
