I'm in the midst of repowering my 99 Angler 204 plus doing a bunch of upgrades.
150 G2, 3.5 Icon w/ GPS positioning, Controls, dual batter setup, new bilge and washdown pumps, radio and speakers, adding a Lowrance Elite 7ti.

Ready for some warmer weather here in the North East!

I too was looking at the 7 but found Reman elite 9ti at tackle direct for 799. Then if yuiu email them here you can get a coupon for 10% off. I ended up with an elite 9 for cheaper than the 7

Default Rod holders

Not the best picture but u can see the rod in the port holder angled out and the starboard side holder is not through the rod locker underneath.

Hmm I wonder what the difference is between yours and the others? Mine is a 2000. I can't imagine the really changed up the rod locker, as they all look the same. Really want to get 2 more rod holders in mine before cobia season

I plan to install two more up on the bow one on each side. Thinking of using the rod holders that are also cup holders for up there to kill two birds with one stone.

Ok some more on the rod holder idea. This position would be great for what I'm ultimate wanting to do. However not sure if it will clear the rod tube

I'm not sure how other people didn't punch through the rod locker as this 30deg set seems it will

Now only one of my rod tubes I can use with 7ft rods. The rest are blocked by foam. Any ideas?

I wish I could help but my boat is shrink wrapped. Come the middle of March I can take pictures and see how mine are in the gunnels.

Okay so I'm going through a box of random parts getting ready to go do work on the boat and find this. I'm suffering from getting old and for the life of me I can't come up with what this part is. Ideas anyone??

Okay so I found out what it is but have no idea where I got it. It is actually an emergency horn. There is supposed to be a "membrane" stretched across the top opening under the outer ring. They say you can make one from a balloon. There is a hole in the side of the tube you blow in. Going to fix it and see what happens.

Ok guys. I've been doing some work on my 2000 204. Just installed my elite 9ti with total scan. Big difference from my old elite 5hdi. Flush mounted a compass to get rid of the hole the old owner used for the Garmin unit they had.

I removed the smart tabs and filled holes with west system six10. Waiting on warmer weather to patch the gelcoat. Got everything prepped for the Bennett bolt 12x12 tabs on vs I get my missing hardware in the mail. Tabman had me covered. Awesome service.

Spent probably 40 plus hours with a rotary buffer and a gallon of presta super cut compound and finally ghot her shining like new inside and out. First time I've seen it like that. Followed up with presta chroma1500 on the outside then collinite fleetwax inside and out.

Anyways I'm still stuck on adding these gunnel rod holders. I've purchased 2 15deg rod holders from John Madison on the classifieds. I just don't see how they won't punch through the rod locker unless I mount them forward of them. Is there anything in that area of the gunnel? I believe there is no wiring. Just looking for insight before I make the plunge...literally.

Mebe,

As far as I know, there should only be foam forward of the rod storage.

Boat looks nice and clean - good job. A little dab of FSR may take care of your rust stain by your helm.
