Default Primers...

I'm ready to start priming some areas on my project, mainly to get them protected while I finish other spots but also because I want to see some damn primer on the boat. I haven't yet decided what the finish coat will be though and my question is, are different primers compatible with different paints? Can I prime with Awlcraft and paint with Alexseal or do I have to make a decision on the whole process before moving forward?

It really doesn’t matter which one you use. Both are good and you can paint over both. There is more $ in product under the finish paint. If there is a problem with your finish paint where will you point the finger? If one system is used you have a better chance of getting support.

I like Alexseals primers and fillers. I paint both Awlgrip and alexseal on top of it.

302 Alexseal primer needs to be sanded as soon as possible. Wait too long and it gets harder than a wedding dick.

This is the stuff they don't put in the guide. How is Ocracoke these days? Used to spend a couple weeks there every summer when I was a kid.
