Default Fiberglass Primer

Getting closer to primer and paint for my Skiff project.
Wondering what would be the best high build primer choice for my floor to help protect the plywood and also provide a good bond for my paint.
Thanks,
Tom

Which top coat will you be using? I prefer to stay with a system of paint. I really like awlgrip products. I’ve also used Interlux Perfection with good results. I’m not a fan of single part paints, like bright sides. They’re just not durable enough.

Are you priming plywood or fiberglass?

There really isn’t any primer or paint combination that will actually protect the plywood floor.

If you already glassed over the plywood, then the paint choice will be irrelevant in protecting the wood.

If you just have uncoated wood you’ll need to seal it with epoxy or polyester (with glass) for it to have a chance of surviving.

Plywood is sealed with epoxy.
