Default Dry 28 CC Sub 130k w/o forward seating

Im looking for a help making a short list on used boats.

Im looking for a center console with a mostly dry ride that can go to the Bahamas and the Tortugas. I need something for less than 130k that is great for diving and fishing. I want removable forward seating. Id rather have a boat with an average to wider beam. Lastly, I need to get a ride in these boats so that I can pick one. How do you do that?

A used Onslow Bay 27 would fit the bill

My Sea Fox 266 has dive tank holders, is dry, and can be fully outfitted new for less than 120k. You can get a larger 288 used Commander which is even better. They are not a big name brand, but they ride dry (at least so far) and have a lot of neat features that might fit your bill.
However, those Contenders and other high end brands are nice too and I am told are better.

Whitewater 28', it doesn't have forward seating but you can cover that with beanbag chairs ant still have all the room to fish and dive. The storage of the 28WW is unmatched, great ride and build as well. Good luck finding one.

Bluewater 2850. Has been a great boat for our Bahama trips, and storage beyond belief!

Onslow Bay 27 or SouthPort 28
Nothing else will compare in that size range for ride and dryness

Rich,
I am located in Palm Beach and own Windham14's old Onslow bay. Let me know if you would like to come check it out.

Another vote for the Southport 28 or Onslow Bay. I owned a 28 Southport for 8 years and 1100 hours. You will be hard pressed to find a dryer, more solid ride. And the coffin box is the best of both worlds. No useless forward seating. Instead you get a full lounge that people can actually use when cruising in relatively calm conditions offshore. My son used to sleep up there on the 70 mile run home from the Canyons on nice days. And when you are bottom/drift fishing, you actually can relax a bit with the rod facing the right way while seated. And the storage of that coffin box is awesome. The 10'6" beam gives you a great cockpit, and makes the boat stable on the drift.

Those two examples posted above are hard to beat. Low hour boats. Brad Herndon, (salesman listed) is the guy to talk to regarding a Southport. His Dad was one of the original founders of Southport, and he worked for the original company in NC.
