What are your favorite stops on the East Coast.

What are your favorite kinds of stops? Then you might get some useful answers. How long are you planning to take?

how much time do u have? when? some places arent open yet. weather can be sloppy in april. i usually just travel what i can do in a day and keep going seeing where i land. if you have lots of time then perhaps you can better plan and put an itinerary together.

Boy I guess I was not clear, I do not need help planning my trip. This is not my first Rodeo
I was just curious what some of the favorite stops were on the East Coast.
If I happen to be near one I may stop in.

Do you mean to put the boat in or just kill a couple of hours?

Did West Palm to Manasquan last April.
Overnighted at Camachee in St Augustine. Nice marina w a cool little grill and bar. Live music at night
Southport NC next and stayed behind Provisons Restuarant. Cool local spot in small fishing town. Free to slip for the night if you hav dinner there. No power or water tho.
Charleston - Tolers Cover small spot just rt of the inlet easy in and out. Basically on sullivans island. Cool beach bars 10-15 min walk. Nice owners of marina. Mega dock is also good
Slept on the Hook in Alligator river next night
Went straight through from there. Long last day 375 miles. Although I wish i had stayed a Coinjock NC. You can dock rt on the canal (ICW) and theres a great steak place there evryone raves about. Im doing the trip form Jupiter up in 2 weeks and we will def do a night in Coinjock.

Enjoy your run and be safe. So fun.

Thanks Moonzy1
This is what I was looking for.
If someone has a favorite Marina or Restaurant on the way up share the info.
I have been to CoinJock its pretty good Prime Rib.
My first day I want to get further north than St Augustine I was hoping someone would have a good place in Ga. or SC.

Everyone has told me to avoid Georgia. I skipped it on my run. Shallow water and you have to go a ways in to get to a port. Also curves way in so geographically I though it best to go point to point and pass it up.

What I wanted to do was leave at like 4 am from west palm refuel in Canaveral and leave there 730am ish go point to point to Charleston.

Not sure what youre running and your range.

st augustines cool comache is nice watch the tide runs real hard till you get through breakwater, if you go to charleston stay at city dock , if you skip st augustine savannah is a decent choice , coinjock is worth the sstop but only once in my opinion I also liked river dunes in oriental shallow but I draw 5 made it but channel is small, then ocean city is also a good stopas is canyon club in cape may
I dont know your time frame or range but these are spots I like
PS RESERVE YOUR PRIME RIB AND MAKE A RESERVATION IN COINJOCK

If you need to go inside to Norfolk Atlantic Yacht Basin is a good stop just before the Great Bridge Bridge. A 1/2 mile walk away is the Courthouse Café. Very good food including a prime rib that rivals Coin jock.
BUT BE CAREFUL! Last Thursday 3/28, there was a log stuck in the bottom about 100 yds east ( downstream) of the Centerville turnpike bridge. If going that way call the bridge tender ( 757-547-3631) for the latest info. It was passable but needed extra caution at that time.

If you stop in Charleston make sure to have dinner at 82 Queen. Charming, old restaurant. Not too far from City Marina.

I also like the Salty Pelican in Fernandina, but it sounds like you plan on going further north day one.

Both, good choices that I will be doing on my trip north. The wife LOVES 82 Queen, and fernandina. I am leaving from Stuart. Will go to Fernandina, then Charleston, stay at ashley or city marina. Then Beaufort, NC, like the Beaufort Docks Marina, walking distance to a number of great restaurants. From there can get straight up to Rudee where the boat stays, or sometimes if have time, will stop at Pirates Cove in the outer banks.
