Used yamalube, fouled spark plugs on average in less than 20 hrs, switched to pennzoil, plugs still look good after 100 hrs. Enough said.

1450 hrs

You and many, many others have had the exact same experience.

Many use Yamalube with no problems. On the other hand, many have problems. For them the solution was to use Pennzoil or other brands of synthetic oil.

Don't know why some have fouling problems and some don't using Yamajunk. They just do. And pay a premium for it as well.

But it is what the manufacturer recommends. How can one go wrong doing what a manufacturer recommends? Oh wait, I forgot about the Yamaha four stroke break in schedule. Oil fouling on the one hand or making oil on the other hand.
