Default Anyone make a T-Top that mounts to the center console instead of floor?

i hate drilling into my boat. I really donít want to drill into my deck. Iím looking for small-ish top / Bimini top for a 23í foot centerconsole. I donít want to mount radar, rocket launchers or anything else. I also donít want a Bimini that blocks fishing.

Just want something to provide a little shade. Something like this would be perfect if it did not mount on the deck.

Assuming the console can structurally support it, any custom top fabricator can build you one. Also, donít get scared away by the term custom, in this instance it just means they build a lot of different stuff that is different from job to job, not that they build stuff that costs a lot, youíll likely find that they charge the same or less than what you see factory produced tops selling for.

Look for the ones thrybput on Marlin towers. Two mounting points. Movable. Bikini straps and poles on that small size will be a PIA.

Sounds like what you really want is a Bimini top that mounts to the console and it appears you have found a suitable product so why not adapt it to your application? There’s no reason you can’t ask OEM to provide side mount instead of deck fittings or cut deck fittings off and provide your own fittings and backer plates at multiple locations that would through bolt into the sides of the console and restrain horizontal movement. The only real limiting factor is the structural integrity of the console. https://www.westmarine.com/bimini-hardware-parts

Any custom shop can do this. Birdsall Marine did my T top with the aft legs rolled into the console, and the forward legs tucked in in front of the console. You do need a stout console well secured to the sole.

Look on Whaler sites. Not Manufacturer.
They showed one several years ago

Console mounted T Tops are almost as under rated a shade. Both make the day on the water much better. Console mounting conserves deck space and has been known to delay the onset of "Footitus" for up to a year.

My last Intrepid (1995 30’ Open ) had a Bluewater T-top mounted to the sides of the console... Really liked it... Wonder why more aren’t done that way!

Better be a stout console.

I had the t-top for my 95 25 Contender built locally to mount to the console. I kept it 12 years and sold it locally and still see it frequently. Tops still mounted to the console. Never was a problem at all. Gore in Wilmington, NC built it.

How is that console mounted to the deck? If itís just screwed into the floor the top has a tendency to pull the the console up.It happen on my Mako and a friends Oceanmaster.
