Default Scupper Flap Question

Currently I have 2 different size scupper flaps on a 285 BW Conquest, I know this isnít correct. I am not sure which set is correct though. Should the flap cover the inside hole only or should the rubber flap rest on the outside of the ring?

Does anyone one know the correct size 1 5/8 or 1 7/8

The flap should seal against the flat transom. Inside the hole, unless there is some kind of shoulder, wonít seal well if at all.

As stated above the flaps should seat on a shoulder in the body the through hull fitting. The TH flap replacement kit comes with 1 5/8s and 1 7/8s replacement rubbers. It’s possible the previous installer didn’t use two of the same rubbers.

Check to see it your flaps are held in w a single screw and have the ‘Anchor T H’ logo. If so super easy fix, correct size should be pretty self evident.

You can call BW and ask them for the manufacturer. They are a fantastic resource. I had two different scuppers on my Outrage (two were apparently replaced before I took ownership). BW was able to tell me the manufacture and part #. I called and ordered 4 new scuppers from them In my case the manufacturer was Eastern and they were great to deal with!
