Default Verado Problems

After a 300 hr service I did and fighting the lower unit reinstallation, thanks for y’alls help, I took my boat out for a spin and the port engine won’t come up to speed like the starboard. On a couple runs I could get them to sink but for the majority of the time it was definitely skipping. I got home and pulled the plugs looking for a cause but they all looked the same. If a pencil coil is going out would I still get the same plug pattern?
Thanks for your response!

Since it is intermittent, maybe.
Swap the coils between motors and see if it follows. Better than spending money and finding out that was not the cause. There is a lower cost option for the coils that are the same ones, just not with the merc name on the box. Could always go that route and keep the old as spares if that was not the issue.

I accidentally hit a hose reinstalling my cowling on my old Verado 275s and it caused my port engine to lose speed when the supercharger would have kicked in. It was like a $12 part.

Then again I also had pencil coil problems another time.

Ended up being a coil going bad, my local Mercury mechanic was awesome and jumped right on it because of our tournament. Thanks for your help!
