Default Parker Boats sells guy crooked boat, then argues with him on YouTube

First the Jupiter 43 Instagram transom falling off... then that Cutwater 30 capsized at a dock... Now another to the party.

Video says it all. This guys brand new Parker 2120 was built... odd. Apparently they ran out of tape measures at the factory that day. Parker then posted in the comments the owner "wasn't being transparent enough"... pretty sure the video was in 1080p. I saw what I needed to anyway.

It does appear Parker is going to help this guy out. Unsure of exactly what that means.

EDIT: I changed the title. Originally it said: Parker sells guy crooked boat, then calls him liar

You take a tape measure on most boats and things will never come out equal.

This is going to get ugly before the mods lock it 10 pages in.

To THT, criticizing a Parker is akin to speaking ill of Mohamed in Saudi...

So Parker installed the floor crooked (starboard side higher than port) and it looks like they caught it. But rather than fix it, they tried to compensate by altering the pilot house when they installed it. I don't see how that can be fixed without literally tearing the whole boat completely apart.

I wouldn't want it fixed, I wouldn't want a replacement boat either. Nothing short of a full refund is acceptable.

Remove the word "out" and that statement would probably be more accurate. Lol.

Kidding aside, it looks like they did catch it and rather than scrap the hull and eat the cost, they tried to hide it, hoping the buyer wouldn't notice.

It seem like boat manufactures are pumping out boats as fast as they can to keep up with the demand and quality control is put on the back burner.

What gets me is how many people at the Parker factory and at the Parker dealership saw that and looked the other way.

That's ashame. I expected more from Parker. Like stated above they had to know the boat was built wrong when they where outfitting the doors and trim.

How long did it take for the guy to figure that out? Wouldn't he just not take delivery of it from the dealership?

Would you be okay with that?

I'd would have never accepted delivery, canceled the sale and ran!!!

I was wondering the same thing. If you look at his YouTube channel, he has been making videos with the finished boat since December 7th. I didn't watch any more of the videos to see when he picked up on the issue.

You can take a tape measure on most boats and no two sides are equal.
You can take a look at most entry doors and the frame is not square to the deck.
Is this boat perfect? No, But no boat ever is.
Boats, level's and tapes are a compromise on ones eyes, he who thinks differently doesn't know boats.

Parker clearly offers everything they can including a new Parker from his closest dealer if the guy doesnt want that because he doesnt want to redo his mods again then o well. Boat never should have left the factory but still they’re owning it he just wont accept it

Would you be okay with this Parker as it is in the video if it were yours?

If the boat didn't float straight or on it's lines, no.
Because he sits on the pooper and sees the base of the door not square to the deck? Yes.
Go take a tape to your boat, let us know how it measures out.
