Default What’s my contender worth?

99 27’ contender with 2010 250 four stroke Yamahas approx 1300 hours. We just did three new fuel tanks, t-top canvas, boca-Tec switch panel, simrad autopilot and a few other small things. It has a second station With controls. Older simrad 12” screen and dome radar. And we have a dual axle aluminum trailer in good shape. I know people are asking a wide range of prices and I know asking and selling price are two different things. We are looking to maybe sell and upgrade to a bigger boat. Any suggestions or if anyone can pm me with any known prices that these boats have sold for would be appreciated.

Thanks

We haven’t had any issues with it being a wet boat. Of course in certain sea conditions almost any boat gets wet

I don't think he is talking about it being a wet boat when running - I think he is talking about when you are stopped, and a few guys are in the back fishing. When I was fishing in my '02 27 with 250 four strokes and had a livewell full of water & 2 anglers in the back while bottom fishing, we would frequently have about half an inch to an inch of water come in on the back deck. As long as we were moving/trolling it was not an issue, but if we stopped and the livewell was full, I had to be careful about how many people were in the back of the boat.

Saw a guy selling (trying anyway) an 02 27 open with original Yamaha 2 strokes, 1200hrs, original tanks, few little upgrades like the bocatech panel and newer electronics. He was asking 75k.

That seems to be the initial price on a lot of the 27 opens I've looked at. Mid 60k on the low end.

The new tanks are a big deal.

My island runner would get wet too if standing and 2 people in the back but nothing to worry about. Prices on these boat are all over
the place. I would price it honestly and accordingly and you should be able
to sell it instantly. The market for contenders is crazy and 50k boats are selling for 70-90k just because of the name. Balls in your court. I think 40 to 60k tops.

I would say $32,525.00. Funny 'cause that's exactly what I have to spend on a boat! Crazy...huh. Call me and we can work out the details. Thanks.

Nice boat and my "real" guess would be low to mid $50's.

60-65k

New tanks and trailer a big plus.

1300 hrs on the engines and older electronics a negative. If the new owner wants to keep to boat long term, you’re looking at repower and new electronics.

In south Florida that’s a $60-70k boat. The people saying any less do not understand the cost and work that goes into fuel tank replacements. That’s a huge plus and just increased the value of the boat by atleast $20k.

I would list it for $75k.

The only comps I am seeing on boattrader are asking 84K and 95K, but they both have new 4 stroke power under warranty.

With all of your improvements, I would guess it would sell anywhere from low 60s to low 70s.

aprox 2004 and newer sell for more due to redesign. Several listed here for 100k+/- right now. Surprised at 75k yours lasted a whole day in the market right now.

Those saying 55k don't have a clue on the market for your boat with new tanks and the tower. I would list it for 75k and you will get a buyer.
