The puck is for the auto pilot? Right? Wish I knew what I know now. I'd have hidden mine much better from the elements.

Simrad told me to mount it as low and centered in the hull as possible for best results.

I think the autopilot puck is a different one. Your right, the autopilot puck needs to be low

I did consider it, but Suzuki doesn't have an independent Joystick system. They use the Optimus 360 made by Sea Star at a cost of 18k more.

Member in St. Aug. Got a pair of 300's with Opt for $55k. I agree that aren't worth 18k.

I've got the Optimus 360 on order for a retrofit and my cost is a little less than $18K for parts. But that includes the mechanical to digital controls conversion for my DF250's... if you are already getting digital controls on your build, the cost for the Optimus 360 should be closer to $12K or less (talking parts and not labor).

12 beats 18 for sure.

55 for a pair I'd suzuki 300's + optimus.
58 fir yamin 300 + optimus
The G2 beats that price by too much. Unless I can't stand the noise.

Your coffin box. Salty Sway is looking really good. Livewells were being installed today.

Looks good. Is there a reason the livewells are above the gunwales? Seems like if it was a couple of inches shorter the gunwales would transition to the livewells seemlessly.
