Hey I made my first Walkthrough video at the Boston Boat Show. I know I can improve but gotta start somewhere! Here it Is!

Ok I'll bite...…. I'm not familiar with Sea Pro, but the 219 seems to have a lot of features.... tell me why the Sea Pro is a better value or better boat than the Pioneer or the Key West ?

Well I can tell you the strong points of Sea Pro boats;

100% composite , no wood hull with reverse chine and a beautiful Carolina flair that gives Sea Pro it's stable, quiet, and dry ride. As of 2016, The hull is foam filled which absorbs a lot of energy that would normally be absorbed by your body.

All boxes and the deck drain to a single gravity fed manifold, reducing number of holes in the boats hull.

The beam on the Sea Pro boats are usually bigger than competitors, as well as the amount of space in the head/console. You really gotta see it to believe it.

Among other things, as you could hopefully see in the video, the layout is well thought out, as well as the amount of storage space.

Long story short, they are well built, solid running boats. Also, they aren't charging you an arm and a leg for a name brand boat.

This guy is loaded with options at $59,265 for the boat show. MSRP with current options is 68k

Katy, I have a couple of other questions... How is the cap attached to the hull ? Is that price with a trailer ? I saw something on the website about the draining manifold. Is it the same on all models ? Can you give us some details on the 5 year stem to stern warranty. Does Sea Pro Rig them with Mercury motors as well. ? Thanks in advance.

Hey,

It's a methakalyte bond chemical bond with foam. No the trailer is not included because some customers already have their own. As far as the draining manifold, yes it is the same on all models. Sea Pro is one of the only manufacturers that use that cool technology.

Yes Sea Pro, can put a Mercury on for you.

I'm an owner here, so I can chime in a bit and hopefully be useful. I'm currently trying to sell my 208 because I'm happy enough with it to want to upgrade to a 248.

Customer/warranty service is by far the #1 feature I like about this boat. From what I've seen, the warranty document is just a piece of paper, Sea Pro has replaced an item for me that I flat out told them I damaged by misuse. I had a warranty issue when I first got my boat and they picked it up from FL, took it back to the factory, sent me almost daily text messages as to the status of the work, and then shipped it back to FL (even though the warranty doesn't require them to provide transit). I've seen them reach out to a customer who had their electronics stolen while the boat was in storage and offer to fix the damage for them if he brought it back to the factory. Sea Pro monitors an owners Facebook group and provides input on anything you can imagine, usually the same day a question is posted. The other day someone chipped their gel coat and Sea Pro sent them new gel coat at no cost to ensure it will match. I've even seen Sea Pro get in the middle of a customer and electronics manufacture to straighten things out for non covered issues.

Here's what the manifold looks like. Basically you have 3 holes on the boat below or near the water line
1) The bilge/raw pickup underneath the hull
2) The drain that all the compartments go through
3) The plug

Funny timing...I posted on the owners group today asking where to buy a replacement snap that I broke when putting the center console cushion on in a hurry. Sea Pro sent me 5 replacement snaps same day. I told them I was 100% at fault and made it clear this was NOT a warranty issue and asked them to invoice me, they refused.

Sea Pro is great! The sales manager put my friend on the phone with the Sea Pro electrical engineer simply because he had a crazy question neither the sales manager or I could answer 😅 I was working the show. Very cool!

Boat is absolutely gorgeous.

Only thing I don't like is the cockpit drains sharing the manifold with all the other plumbing. If something fails with the other plumbing that made it necessary to close that seacock, now you have no cockpit drains as well. I wouldnt want to be offshore without cockpit drains. They should have their own (separate) plumbing and exit the boat via scuppers.

Also, if I kept my boat in a slip, I'd want to be able to close that seacock, but not affect my cockpit drains.

If anyone is waiting on a Sea Pro due to a lack of Suzuki motors, they have the better part of a truckload pulling up at their plant right about now. Just left my dock about 45 min ago.

I am not 100% on the 219, but my 228 bay does have dedicated scuppers (2) with flaps for the cockpit drain that exit above the manifold's exit. I would imagine all of their models are the same. The manifold system absolutely reduces the amount of through hull penetrations below the water line, and it is a great design, but does not eliminate all of them as some salesmen would have you think. You've got the high speed pick-ups for pumps, drain plug, manifold exit, cockpit exits, bilge pump exit, and fuel vent (I'm sure I'm missing one more).

Thanks for vid. First I've seen of the new Sea Pro. It does look large for a 21 footer. Rigging looks top notch for the boat class.

If that's the case and the cockpit drains have dedicated scuppers that are separate from that manifold, then I definately see the advantage to the manifold design. Close all plumbing by shutting off one seacock. Seems like a good idea.
