Default Jet Capsule in California?

I can't post real URLs yet but would Jet Capsule (jetcapsule.com) work in something like the Santa Barbara channel? I've never owned a boat before. Would I need a license?

I can think of a lot better ways to spend 200 grand. Are you going to commute to work in it? Only use I can see for something like that is a high end water taxi or a tender for a fancy owner's super yacht.

It's your money buy whatever you want but there is a reason you've never seen a design like this in the wild. It totally defeats the purpose of being on the water. Just buy a minivan, that's what this is. There is no outside space at all.

It's better than no boat (which is what I have now), I can fit the whole family, and we can stay out of the sun inside or sit on the rear deck (with optional chairs) or climb the ladder to the roof lounge. How else can I do this for $200k?

Gimme a break. Anyone that doesn't hate it must work for them?

If it sucks you should be able to point me to a better choice.

your insistence that nothing else will work in the 200k price range is kind of suspect. I'm in a bad mood anyway today, maybe best to just ignore me. Best of luck.

No problem. I don't mean to insist this is the best choice. But that's what I want to find.

Honestly I think if you got one of these it would ruin boating for you. To me this is at best a form of transportation. For me boating is all about the wind in your hair, it is nice to have an air-conditioned cabin to relax in but to enclose the whole boat takes the best part of boating away, being outside and enjoying the outdoors.

That thing looks like some bling bling Italian boat had a drunk one night stand with a SMART car and 9 months later that showed up...

I guess it could "work"...When I was in high school we used to take a 15' zodiac out to Santa Cruz island from Hendry's Beach. It wasn't much fun but we got to go diving.
