Default The only 45’ Center Console Cat, that sleeps 4 and gets 1.6 Miles Per Gallon

I just got this email from Sport Fishing Magazine.

I thought it would be good from some midweek entertainment on THT.

The only 45’ Center Console Cat, that sleeps 4 and gets 1.6 Miles Per Gallon!

The INSETTA i45C is a 45-foot center-console, tunnel-hull designed and built by INSETTA Boatworks. The unique and proprietary asymmetrical, narrow tunnel, large sponson, catamaran hull design provides uncompromising smoothness and control in rough seas and delivers class leading fuel efficiency and performance.

The
INSETTA 45 fills the need for a boat between smaller center console boats and large sport fish yachts. Top-quality design, materials, and construction techniques make the INSETTA 45 a robust and superbly thought-out vessel. This ultimate center console boasts an enormous amount of deck area, while her smooth ride and tight handling can outperform any other boat in her class.

Looking for a boat with fuel efficiency and range? The Insetta i45C can be rigged with Yanmar Diesel Inboard/Outboards. That setup will cruise at 35mph, burning only 1.6 MPG of fuel. The
660 gallon fuel capacity can take the boat 1,000 miles at 35 mph! Cruise to the fishing grounds or remote island and have fuel to stay there and return easily!

Speed more what you’re looking for? This 45’ long boat is available with twin or quad offerings from Yamaha, Mercury
and 7 Marine providing up to 70+ mph speeds.

Comfort on the water a concern? No problem. How does
air-conditioned / heated main cabin, forward berths AND helm area sound? The battery inverter system provides ample power on the water for long excursions and the deck space and storage will give you more than enough room for crew, gear and supplies!https://insetta.com/

Words and images can only say so much. Experience the Insetta difference for yourself and feel how a boat should truly perform.

I've been to their shop. Good guys. Boats are beyond my paygrade but very nice. I doubt you find better in that size cat fir the price they ask.

Have to be careful of the caveats. If all the other 45 ft center consoles sleep 6 and get 2mpg, the marketing dept has to spin it somehow.

gets 1mpg with twin 300s at 35 and they don't tell you what you get with quad 300's. 35 cruise 1.6mpg and 47 top speed with twin diesels sounds pretty hard to beat.

If you can stand to look at em. They may be fantastic boats, but difficult to look at.

What's so hard to look at? Nice racing style cat hull, economical for a boat that size and if it has the standard cat ride I can't see a problem. Of course I have no idea of the price.

If you make the sponsons wide enough to be comfortable in, they will probably pound.

At 45 feet long, you can have a very nice riding mono with a much nicer, more comfortable cabin, imo.

I find these looks comments that always accompany these threads incredibly amusing. Period?

Every one of the threads is the same - to make curves, not enough curves, not enough shear, to much shear, engines are to boring and not defined, engines are to pointed and don't flow. Blah. Blah. Blah.

Bad ass cat and obviously quite a bit of thought that went into not only looks and performance, but oh by the way producing the boats as well. Novelty

At half the speed and twice the fuel. Knock yourself out.

Again I say if you like what you see, pay these guys a visit. They are really nice people with some great design elements. Just out of most peoples budget. Before Eastward stepped up I was trying to get these guys to bring back the KVs. They are putting 100% into these 45 cats. Best of luck to them getting the word out on these boats.

For the THT group who hate cats almost more than IQ tests. Go back and read it and the quoted part real s l o w...

These are very nice boats. I wish the builders great success. Some people just can't understand that on every level cats are superior si they show up to clutter any cat topics.

Twice as fast. Half the fuel. Even the math is simple.

These boats have been out for a while, there is a reason they haven’t taken off compared to others.

Cats do fall down in one area {compared to mono’s} and that’s in accomodations, there’s less room for the bar, sauna and games room in a cat
