Default HUK vs Xtratuff vs ???

Looking at a new pair of fishing boots and am leaning toward either the HUK Rouge Wave or the Xtraftuff Ankle Boots. Of those 2 or any others that I may not have mentioned, which do you prefer and why?

Xtratuffs for me (and my two boys). Comfortable and I don’t need a higher boot on the boat. Might want to order a size up as they run a bit on the smaller side.

Im a huge fan of XtraTuf. Very comfortable. My first pair had the neoprene going up the leg and it got a lot of holes in it from getting snagged and god knows what. I went with full rubber and much better. Got the commander pair and they are tight to put on and a little tight around the ankle. Recently got the white XT and they are great. Also have the insulated and warmest boots I have owned.

I dont own the shoes so cant comment on that. We have biting flys that love ankles so I wear boots year round.

xtratuff: I have two pairs: I live in them. They are an amazing boot. Wore them all day working on the farm yesterday. I am going to where them all day today taking my son bull red fishing.

I had Xtratuf's. They were awesome until I had a leak in one of them and had to deal with customer service. I had a terrible experience, but apparently they are revamping their customer service as we speak. The product was good, I just wish they would have stood behind it better. I sold my new Xtratuf's that I got when my warranty claim was solved and bought Rugged Shark boots. Used them for a dozen trips (commercial and recreational) this past fall and winter and they have been great. They wear like a shoe and protect like a short boot. Very comfy even after being on your feet all day.

I've been fishing for over 50 years, I never knew I needed special boot to fish it, (except when I fished commerically), and I don't think the fish knew either
