Just found this on Facebook, looks like a good concept. Starting with a 36 then a 43 next.

Cat's out the bag on this one, so to say...Been hush hush for a bit, but I found out this AM a buddy is building this. Hope to go check it out in next week or two.

Its pretty bad ass. Has a Yellowfin look too it from the side. 12 foot beam and 6 inches taller than other cats in its class. Can't wait to see them sea trail here in a few months.

Seen the plug. Hull #1 should be out the mold just after Miami. Pretty sexy looking boat. Wider and taller than others in its class.

Supposed to flip the hull next weekend...I may go check it out soon. I hope to fish it when it's ready.

the bigger motors are going to keep people interested in these cats. Sportfish companies should be taking note

With the ridiculous wait lists for higher end, smaller hybrid cats (Calcutta, Cayo, etc.), I have to wonder why all of these builders want to focus on 40 foot cats. Seems to be a great opportunity to pick up years of backlog pretty quickly if you have the means to develop something that has a larger target audience (like the new Cayo for example). I guess there's more money in big cats but also apparently quite a bit more risk.

I agree, im surprised SH hasn't got in on this. I know World Cat has a new 26, but I don't think its in production.

There is a huge gap in price point and capability betwixt available cats - You'd think as fast as the mass producers are rolling out 25' 2 pc shit box's that an "equivalent" cat hull would be the best thing since sliced bread.

When you say SH are you referring to Sea Hunt? They can't build a mono hull thats square. If they built a cat it would prob look like a triangle and fall apart in the first 18 months.

The difference to build a 26' versus a 40' is minimal after the material costs. Profit margins are much larger.

Simple economics. If it costs 75K to build a 26 that they can sell for 150K or 125K to build a 40' that sells for 600k.... its a no brainer to sell the 40'.
