Ok, I wasn't gonna say anything else, but after that "deal" you gotta be a moron to do business with this guy. I swear I have no clue how someone so freaking slow gets $250k to put down on this. This BBW guy seems to be alot like the guy that did the Fyer Island scam.

Think Vectorworks and MPYD are in line too or is it just a corporate write-off for them?

How were they going to sell the first boat for a "profit"? A used boat with 12-18 months of wear and tear? What's the retail price on this supposed to be?

1 year old barkers seem to sell for nearly as much as new ones and you don’t have wait.

The guy makes nice boats...people get their boats normally, though it seems like he’s running way late he still delivers his bay boats.

I was really interested in 26 Bay. Was going to check it out at Miami show. Scratched off my list.

It took me a long time to realize not to pay for the whole job upfront. I finally learned that some people just don't honor their word and that handshakes are for greetings only nowadays. Sad. I still honor my word and handshakes when I give them though.

Not that I saw. The "contract" is attached as an exhibit to the original petition. I like the language " use it for 12 to 18 months" then bring it back, we will sell it and split the profit. I would be curious to know what it costs to build all of the tooling for a 40' cat. I hate to see any builder go under but, there's a big difference in building a boat and building a boat building company.

Doubtful as it's not Barker's since he never paid for it. It still belongs to Vectorworks to which the OP has no claim against.

That "plan" "agreement" is absolute bullshit. LOL. You think this will be on American Greed in 2020 or 2021? LOL.

That's a real shame. Something is obviously up... and one of them is Barker's time. That's crazy -- because I was rooting for them when they were sparring with Yellowfin. I guess we know who the sleazy one is now.

I might be wrong, I thought I read somewhere, that the naval architect that was contracted out to design the bay boat did it for free, and gets paid a % of every hull sold...if so, he got boondoggled as well.

According to BBW 40HPC literature the architect was MPYD.

I heard rumblings 6-8 months ago. I guess it's finally catching up with him? Tooling is very expensive to produce these days unfortunately. I'm sure Wylie is thrilled!!
