I don't think they did last time I was checked but it was a loooong time ago,
Depending on what they are wanted for, could you be charged with anything? Knowingly transporting felons, or whatever? I'm not a lawyer so just askin'.

If they know about the warrants they should be securing counsel and dealing with it. If ducking the warrants then if they do run the ID could be a bad day for all of you. What kind if a friend does this to you?

Do what you like but sounds like a bad idea.

The one time I was boarded they asked for it but I have nothing to hide. If you sleep with dogs you'll get fleas (friends with warrants)

Hahaha is this for real? I have never been asked for my license. You don't have to have a drivers license to run or be on a boat do you?

You could have a warrant for parking tickets or not showing up for a court date. Doesn’t make you a bad person. Taking a boat load , well that does change things a bit

The best answer is maybe. I usually carry my MMC and that's good enough for them. The DNR is a different story.....

We got stopped for a routine safety check by FWC in ENP. They asked for our IDs. We gave them to them. I donít know if they ran them or just IDíd who we were.

Whenever Iíve been stopped by CG they ran my license. But I was the only one aboard when they did it so I couldnít say if they will run everyone when they stop you.

Seems like Ike there are a bunch of possible outcomes though. If the warrants are something simple then maybe only they get arrested. If, for example, your buddies are wanted for smuggling/drug trafficking and youíre off Miami in a boat with them.....maybe you will get to take a ride in one of the CG boats too. 😬

As long as they are for prostitution you should be fine.

A bit of a drift,........
what happens if you donít have your licsence on you (say leave it in the car). There is no requirement to have a DL to operate a boat.
Just curious...

(decades ago when I was commercial fishing and had just returned to port we were boarded & searched. One of the crew had no ID, ... that caused about an hour delay on the whole thing but nothing more.)

We were boarded by the USCG 70 miles offshore in November. They asked for drivers license for everyone on board. They called in the DL numbers over the radio presumably to run a check. We had no issues but I assume that if you have an open warrant they have the jurisdiction to take some action.

In many states you are not allowed to purchase a fishing or hunting license if you owe child support.

Over what radio did they call it in? If they are using an open channel, that could be transmittal of PII...
