nice! both a CC and pilot house side by side! Good to see a rough idea of the helm position difference between the two models. Pilot house version looks really far forward. Will be interesting to see how it handles/feels compared to the CC model.

Love the new facility! Definitely going to have to drive up and visit soon.

My bet is that the ride in both is going to be very similar. At this length it will take a considerable swell before you would be getting much up/down attitude I think.

The ride is always better the further aft you go.

Oh I don't know. In my experience the women and nearmen will cry like little girls at a Halloween fair every time you go airborne no matter how fluffy that bean bag at the transome.

I dont like pounding a hull or gear but I don't crawl to the numbers either. I'm forward of everyone else and it has to feel worse back there because I'm never the one screaming if we hit a surprise 6 head on.

Yours and UCFs are moving along nicely! How wide is that transom door? It looks thin to the eye for a full scuba setup (spears, stringers, gear etc that and I'm a little wider both ways than my navy days). It could be the scale though, I know its 30+ feet but that pic might be playing tricks on me! Thanks for the update!!

Dave may have to make you a dolphin door.

I think the transom doors are 19? Height on the order of 31 or so if I recall? Getting a 30 inch side door in mine as well. And the dolphin doors are like 48

Can’t stop thinking about this boat I have a Steiger now and would think this would be a perfect upgrade was wondering what the difference in the cabins are between the pilot house and the weekend Cuddy and could you put the pilot house on a weekend cutty cabin? Questions questions

Lol. I have grown also, just not taller

Its plenty wide, plus you could make the platform area wider if you wanted an area to hand anything off. I think the platform could be 4 ft wide. I think I'm going to put my bars 32" wide.

And since Dave will do pretty much anything you want, you could get rid of the livewells and have him build a bigger door. But I think once you see it in person, you would agree it's fair sized.

For reference. I think livewells are 38" wide

I’m curious as to why the pilot steps in again instead of going straight up from the upper part of the ring deck?

This actually belongs on the UCF thread but if Amy saw this I'd have to get transome bait wells with windows so I'm not gonna show her. Would be cool and help to better keep an eye on the bait.
