Default Jupiter 43 Hull Failing with 50 Hours

I came across this researching a new boat. It is hard for me to believe that Jupiter did not PROMPTLY take care of this!

https://instagram.com/badjupiter43

Does anybody have the back story here? Owner says he has correspondence from some employees stating this boat was rushed out the door. Not what I would of expected from Jupiter.

I'm curious, how do you "come across" this researching a new boat?
What do you type in to run across this on Instagram?
I've seen it, but only because someone sent it to me, on purpose.

It’s pretty easy when an app ranks a story by popularity, and when it uses tracking cookies based on previous searches.

Thanks for contributing to this conversation though. Very helpful.

This appears to be the new normal on these newer giant center consoles. They're so large the factory has trouble keeping up with the quality assurance. And obviously they're pushing the limits of how much weight transoms can hold.

This is normal wear and tear for all new high end boats. A little 5200 and she be good as new. Nothing to see here.

I saw a Jupiter 43 with triple 425 XTOs in Palm Beach Gardens. The transom had cracks just like the instagram link. Maybe it's the same boat? When I saw it, I had to go check it out as there are not many of the new Jupiter 43s out, especially with the beastly 425s hanging off the back. Over 3,000 lbs of V8 on the transom probably calls for some extra support.

The hose to the cabin/console door was my favorite test of the bunch. Also @Badjupiter43 is my new favorite instagram handle. I'm going to make an account called @badharborfreighttablesaw. Or maybe @badchevydealeralignmentjob...that one really pissed me off!

the power of social media!

it sounds like he tried working with them for months, don't blame him, maybe give them one last chance to take the boat back and refund / re-build

What's the time frame of the original Instagram post? It's hard to accept that a company that's been in business as long as Jupiter wouldn't dispatch a truck/trailer immediately to scoop that thing up and repair/replace or refund.
