Yes, according to the OP.

One side only of the story.

Who knows the truth? Won't be found here on THT. THT is the hull truth. Not the whole truth.

That would get my vote.

At what price point does the same type of work become not shitty? $600K? $500K?, $400K? $100K?

In my opinion, it starts with a $10,000 boat.. Bad quality is bad quality. I do understand what some are saying: to have these GROSS issues on a boat that cost that much is just terrible.

I look at it like a home.. If you pay for $100 a sq ft for a Mitchell, John Adams, Heritage or SS Steele built home, you can't expect top notch quality.. You can expect and will get builders grade everything.. However, if you pay for a custom built home at $200-300 sq ft, you expect more.. You should expect more..

A person paying top dollar for a boat should expect more..

change in management change in priorities is what I have heard from Ex Employees.

I may have heard wrong but if thatís true itís a common thing .

YIP that's right !! managers that think they can screw the employee's and expect perfection when the guys doing the work get less than peanut and the bosses get to fuck around and they know sweet fanny adams about there jobs and just a meaningless voice !
lets come up the ladder from the bottom !Workers at the bottom then there leading hands and that's were the problems reall start !most have wedeled there way in sweet talking the foreman or someone when in fact they are just crawlers , Next step up and the people the emlploy the yes men the fore men have know some of these people that have come from different industries that has not one single thing to do with the boat building OR fiberglass industries ! and get they get the position of leader ! and so on it goes to the bosses door so the gorillas and chimps run the companies telling the monkey how to do there work !!
any country and where !!Big boats of small the structures never change
I used to change jobs about every 3 to 4 months because that's how long it used to take to completely learn a whole new process of building boats and any type big or small production or custom builds so in 4 or 5 years I I had made myself a ball of knowledge and had learned from some of the really clever guys (workers ) !Then I was able to take on managers jobs because I had experience in the industry and knew a few things ! Factory managers jobs are where I been last few years so a foot in both doors and by pasted the guys in between and eventually they left because they were not needed !!
The biggest thing that completely missing is people with experience and capabilities to teach and train staff all and everything in boat building and fiber glassing and the great long list of stuff that's required to learn and be able to become competent and trust worthy to do there jobs properly BUT when you only get peanut as payment why bother !

....or to look at it another way, the employee is leaving because of low wages and lousy benefits. Sounds like you had at least one employee with half a brain.

You could always make the employee's owners, then they have skin in the game.
Changes the playing field.
Is that what you have done?

Who hates their money this much?

Learn your lesson and move on.
Perhaps someone who has a lot of dough and like's nice things and like to fish? Ever heard of expendable income? You only live once?
Thats my guess
And i'm sure no one purchases a boat, expensive or otherwise and hopes it has all sorts of problems and the transom fails and then the manufacturer tells them to pound sand
As for pursuing the company, I would do the exact same thing. The principle of innocent until found guilty works pretty good. I believe the OP.
Don't be a hater.

Wow, the price of garbage has sure gone up in the 30 years I’ve been boating. The point that gets lost IMHO is these are big expensive toys. If this happened to something covered by the NTSB they’d be looking at everyone out there. I’ve been involved in issues with wheeled road vehicles. Something falling apart like that, and not the result of a hit, puts lives at risk, maybe it’s time to regulate boat building.

The craziest thing to me is the horrible spelling and grammar by the Jupiter owner. I would assume he was well off to afford such a high end boat but my 6 yo spells better than him. If you follow on Instagram it’s pretty clear that he was delivered a crap boat and the dealer nor manufacturer has made right on a laundry list of issues

only you and a small select few care about his spelling and grammar. the rest of us care more about the facts.

you all assume the owner is actually posting....I doubt it. I think it is the mate or the paid for young captain. But what do I know, nothing! Just like 99 percent of the posters here.

Why is that crazy? They could be a great businessperson, excellent at math, e.t.c. No reason to cast stones from a glass house.

Very possible. Lol. There seem to be a lot of those these days. Regardless, that Jupiter has some issues.
