Default cause of oil leak

i have a 2018 mercury 115hp pro xs 4-stroke that has a slight oil leak coming out of the rear of the engine where the lower unit connects to the engine. this is in the area where the trim tab bolt goes through engine to the lower unit the oil shows on the anti-cavitation plate. it appears to be engine oil. i have less than 6 hours of run time on the engine. i have removed the engine cowling and there are no visible signs of oil leaking in the engine compartment. does anyone have any idea as to what is causing the leak?

residue from a sloppy oil filter change? Though it is easy to do it neatly on that engine. Or there could be a leak in the "oil drain tube" the extends from the block down to the oil drain valve that is midway toward the anti-cav plate (if the pro-XS has the same plumbing as the standard 115).

Engine should still be under warranty, right?

If it was me I would have waited for some random person to tell me what to tear off my brand new motor so I could fix the drip.
