[QUOTE=slyshon;12137347]She's fast, faster than most anyone here wants to run. I can tell you I'm too damn old to run that hard and fast. We have a "special" guest coming up next Tuesday to run her, someone who's not intimidated with wide open throttle. The Yamaha folks have ordered in more Props to try as well as we all feel there is more speed to be had. Had a few ask to see the helm, came out really nice! Stay tuned, much more to come.

Yeah, I wouldn't run it that hard with two people without a grab rail on the console. Need something to hang onto with one or both hands at speed. Assume there isn't one because this boat will get a top at some point.

Looks great in the water. Looking forward to test results. And yeah, it needs a grab handle on the console!

My thought...….you ran out of prop and were hitting the rev limiter. I got no doubt that you guys with your experience in that boat could drive it as hard as it would go. Unless it exhibited some ill handling at speed that you had not for seen, not sure why you need a special guest to drive it unless its just part of the hype. The difference between 65 mph and 75 mph is hard to tell inside a boat unless you are looking a the gps, or the boat exhibits so handling quirk a certain speed.
If you guys went out and bought a bunch of gold chains, and black jumpsuits, I know who the guest will be......and it aint Elvis!!!! LOL.

Your going to need the 400R (turned up a litttle) before you get to the black spandex/gold chain/ hot bimbo level.

I am excited to see a production boat built with carbon fiber... I am sure it will be fast, draft less and get better mpg... But wonder how a 23' boat that is ~1000 lbs, less will handle 2-3 ft. seas.... Just wonder how the handling will differ -- Skip - hope y'all can do a "snotty" water test !!

Would be nice if this build will be offered on other models as well.

Would it make sense for someone to entertain this boat for the weight savings and towing? Not having to upgrade to a bigger tow vehicle and able to upgrade to a bigger boat. Anyone....

Boat has a nice, clean, sexy look. Thanks for sharing Skip.

I would love to come run that thing at WOT, I can bring along a 26 and 28 Bravo 1 FS, 25 mirage plus, 25 tempest plus to test

I don't think it was mentioned, what pitch was tried on the boat ?

There is a difference between 65 and 75 mph without looking at a gps. When I bought my boat it topped out 64 mph, it now runs 74 mph after several prop and engine height changes. Below 66-67 mph the boat is wet and in the water, above 69 mph she gets up on the pad and feels really light and very sensitive to trim and weight adjustments.

Can anyone elaborate what Simrad this is? Is it one or can I not see where they butt up to each other?

Looks to be the go series simrad with a custom glass type material over both units. I forget the name of the material but a few high end builders do this if I’m not mistaken. Looks good skip the boys at MHP are stepping their game up!

Sorry for the delay as I have been out of town and we finally had the chance to really test the boat yesterday.

We’re still tweaking things like engine height and transducer placement but we hit 69 on the GPS so far. She's fast and draws very little water. One thing for certain is that the all carbon build brings a solidness and stiffness that you can feel , especially in a chop. We are excited by what we’ve learned and plan on expanding the process and materials to other projects soon . Stay tuned. By the way, this boat will be in the Pathfinder booth at the Miami show so come by and check it out.

Here is a short video from yesterday, Captain Rick Murphy at the controls:

And a couple of pictures from yesterday as well...

Could definitely pick up a few more mph with a more aerodynamic console. Majek and Fat Cat have "bubble" console options for their zoomie boats.

Now put a real black motor on it and enjoy 70 plus all day long! That boat needs a 20 inch shaft, 10 inch plate, and a motor that actually makes 300 HP!

Is that a typo? You mean actually makes 400+ HP?
