Default 15 whaler interior install

Hello everyone,

I am going to install a sport wood interior in a 1978 15 foot whaler. I filled 1000 holes in the boat and had it repainted. I no longer know where to mount the wood. I have a general idea but was wondering if i could get a few measurements from other owners as to where there seats are mounted. Could you measure from the back edge of the seat to the back of the transom? I understand they can be mounted anywhere but would like to get an idea of how it came from the factory.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Troy

Thanks for the response guys but that doesn't help that much. It does show the wood panels, but where the wood for the seats attaches is the piece labeled E which runs the whole length. Also if I try to use the wood panels labeled I which is for the side rails to give me a idea of location its still gives me 9 inches to move front to back. Thanks again for the responses so far.

I asked specialty marine and they said it can be moved back and forth also but wouldn’t give me a general idea. I did get a friend to measure his and the rear seat was 40 inches from the back of the transom.
