Aqua Buff 2000 to polish then Collinite 920 then the 925 wax (I do two coats of the wax, especially on the south facing side of the hull). I've tried 3M and Presta, have them both in my "boat supply" cabinet, they're good, but I like the Aqua Buff best.

I recently did a study with boaters to identify the best boat waxes and you can see the results here. However, didn't have enough sample to look at saltwater boaters exclusively. But, as many have suggested here, the Collinite Fleetwax was highly rated. Meguiars is also very popular. One thing to consider, however, is that the synthetic waxes (sometimes referred to as "polishes" which is confusing) will last longer than an ordinary Carnauba wax.

Also examined the best cleaning products.

I agree! I have tried ALOT of different ones before Presta

Their Supercut Compound is awesome. Cutting Creme is an excellent compound/polish mid and Chroma Polish is excellent also. I use all of them in my business.

However, their “Gel Coat Compound” was disappointing and I don’t recommend it. Use the supercut instead.

Their pads are great too and well priced.

Another Presta fan.

OP read post #3 in this thread. You'll learn a lot regardless of the products you choose.

Seems like most of the boat detailers use Presta or 3M products to compound/buff/polish, with Collonite most recommended for wax.
