Nana and Mom are both breast cancer survivors. Thank you for your involvement and promotion of the cause. Got my tix in support!

Looks like a nice worm-drowning platform. And while I do support the cause, I have a problem backing Sues and G Komen - they've a long track record of suing other non-profit organizations over the word "Cure". This only cures me of wanting to give them money. I give to the ACA instead.

Their heavy-handed tactics and draconian branding are too much of a put-off for me.

We heard some feedback last year about people having negative feelings toward Susan G. Komen, but working with the local chapter you get to know some of the people and see how hard they work. It is far from perfect and can be flawed but the support and dedication of the volunteers makes me proud to be helping them

Oh I have no doubt - and I'd wager it's rarely the local chapters that lie at the heart of their issues - that sort of thing has to come from the Corporate Office. And SGK isn't the only organization to make headlines for this sort of thing - they've just done it more than most.

But I wish them all well, and success in their mission.

Great effort on scraping up some donations guys, and the best of luck in your future endeavors. I have 2 dear female Capt friends who are both survivors of this scourge, so 1 tikky for each of them.
