That was the factory sea trial where she ran beautifully.

The motor needs to come up another hole for better performance.

so to confirm, the boat is not donated, you are recouping all of the costs first, and then and only then, the overage in tickets sold will go to the cause?

The boat is heavily discounted for donation and built at a loss. No other fees, setup, or charges are taken out either.

The boat itself is not donated. It's given away to one lucky winner. Proceeds from ticket sales are donated to help fight breast cancer. We donated $10,000 after our last raffle. We're trying to beat that number this time. Every little bit helps. You can read about our last raffle here...https://www.reefrunnerboats.com/brea...erboatgiveaway Thanks for reading and inquiring.

Rubs me the wrong way... these can't be called donations... they are a raffle where you get the recoup your expenses first... there was another builder trying to pull the same stunt here on THT earlier in the year and they get shamed all the way out of here. Why not donate the boat? Otherwise it seems that you are profiting both by advertising and selling your actual product. I would much rather make a real donation directly to the cause where they will get 100%!

I would understand your point if the boat was done at a break even point but it is done at a loss. How many hours do you estimate are being put in overall between building, promoting and working events to promote the cause by the reef runner team? The point of the raffle is to entice people to donate more money.

Well sorry to rub you the wrong way pal. We're a brand new company starting from scratch. We can't afford to donate a whole boat right now. Maybe we can later down the road. We're definitely not profiting anything from the boat. We've lost loved ones to breast cancer so this is our way of fighting back.

People automatically assume businesses or business owners are swimming in cash.

Bought a ticket. Looks like a perfect boat for the bays down here.

At the end of the day ten grand went to the cause last year, right? You make it sound like these folks are pulling a fast one. Don't think that's the case here but don't let me stop you from sharpening the tines on your pitchfork and lighting the torches bro - this is THT after all. Let's try and turn this good deed into and interwebs shit show....
