Default Tidewater Boats

Considering buying the 2018 Tidewater 2700 Carolina Bay Custom with twin 300 Verados. Any suggestions or experiences? Thanks

Don't do it. Many other manufacturers with higher quality in that price range.

For that kind of money I would pick a semi-custom boat builder and have it manufactured for me. There are a lot of semi custom bay boat Builders out there that will build a top quality product for the same money. Make sure you shop around.

The 2700 is a great boat. The manufacture had a few issues as they grew but I am confident they are working on resolving them. The are now offering a transferable lifetime hull warranty and a transferable 3 year Bow to Stern warranty.

Check out the offerings from Seahunt, Keywest, Cobia, maybe Sportsman or even new SeaFox. Those are all not top of the line brands, but should fit your budget better than others mentioned, plus hardly a complaint on here about these. Of course, check things out carefully no matter what you buy. For example, I would personally knock Seahunt off the list because of lack of bilge access. However, they must be doing something right overall with the numbers they sell and the limited problems reported.

Thats a larger hybrid/bay boat, so economical brands will be harder to come by.
