What’s the word on Invincible Cats?

Invincible 40 by Freeman 42

They’ve been out long enough to have good intel. How do they stack up against their intended comparator, the Freeman cats, head to head?

Well, I rode the invicible cat,
2-3 quartering head sea there. 3-4 following on the way back.
it does not do the bow steer thing in a following sea like most cats. (Yes freemans do it, just not often)
The invicible might be the driest boat I have been on. I repeatedly was moving out the way expecting to get wet but never did.
The walk space between coffin box and console is fantastic. We used it to stuff bean bags when making short jumps from place to place.
Fuel economy is the same between the boats.
fit and finish- invinicble hands down.
invincible feels wider. I think it shows in the width of the console.
I like the flat floor of the invincible but I dont mind the step up in a freeman
in my opinion. They are the 2 best CCs on the market. It is to close to call. So buy one and talk shit about the other.

There has to be some pretty good opinion out there by now on how the Invincible Cats compare to the Freemans relative to performance, seakeeping and fishability. What's the word?

Not this shit again.
Search is your friend. But I’ll give you the cliff notes which will help as a preview to your new thread; Freeman owners like their boats , Invincible folks like theirs. Some will like Prowlers or some other kitty cat. It’ll be a pissing contest. Bottom line, they are all good.

i expected many more positive reviews of the Invincible cat's ride, but i havent heard much. The only major reviews i can remember are propbender and the charter guy in Louisiana and one other sponsor on here. All have a professional interest in selling Invincible one way or another. The big battle between Invincible and Freeman never happened. Freeman is still 3 year backlogged. Invincible has only sold a handful of cats but continues to sell a ton of monohulls. Even seawolff declined switching to a cat. Why do you think all of that is?

All I know is my Boss has one of the Inv Cats and ready for a trip on it. Looking at the fuel bladder in the pics, the guys on that Inv were about to make a serious run.

You're not a professional salesman or in the industry...but you're vested...and that's a key attribute to consider when judging an opinion.

of course....we are all vested in our boats. But Freeman doesnt pay me, unlike industry professionals. I can buy any boat i want, and i choose Freeman.

I don't doubt you waited for your slots to come up Rod , you just have been building them and selling a relatively new boat then building another . I dig it , sound like a fun hobby and helps keep the used boat market interesting . They have the 37' dialed in and it's in high demand , no better boat to do that with right now .

I thought the new freeman factory was supposed to reduce build times? O wait, you need more employees that are up to speed on freeman building process? Who would have thunk it.
but I digress.
As of now freeman is still the best riding cat. However, in the next month or so I will have a a few trips to report on invincible.
I am not bias towards either brand. So I will not speak further on the matter until after I ride the invicible a few times.

Selling a boat annually and feeding a hype cycle is a bit more unique than most others being 'vested' in their boat. I get that you chose Freeman, but suggesting that your position is closer to an average boat owner than it is to industry professionals is a bit disingenuous.

this is my last post on this Invincible thread since it is not about me or my boat.....i dont think i feed the hype cycle and my lack of constant posting on here supports that. My original post asks a question. That i sell 1 boat a year is irrelevant.

We are happy to show anyone around our factory that would like more insight on what we do and how we do it here at Invincible. We are 250 people in 200,000 sq ft of factory space. Our crew gets the boats built and delivered.
Anyone considering a new catamaran should do themselves justice and ride both our boat and the other... We spent a great deal of time and funding on the design of our catamarans... These designs were done with computer fluid dynamics testing before making any tooling... Its nice to have a headstart and have the computer tell you it works before making molds. The ride and handling of our boats speaks for itself. One ride is all it takes.
