I have a good friend who just had a 32z built. His biggest complaint is you can’t read your bottom recorder while running, the turbulence from the steps causes this . The odd thing is the transducer is in front of the steps which doesn’t make since to me. Talk to Seavee about this. Other than that he loves the boat he has twin 350s .

I have a 34b with triple 300 Verados and I can cruise at 45 with 200 gallos of fuel getting 1.18 I personally love the B Hull and would only run trips due to the size and weight.

That happens at times on my 32 Intrepid when running fast. I never thought about the step being the cause. Helpful post.

Subíd to this thread. Iíve had the same thoughts and questions about 32 and 34 z vs b. I LOVE the deck layout of the 322z but I just donít need or care to go that fast with stepped hull, Iím more in it for the boat ride anyways and where I fish isnít that far. It also seems like a pretty stout price difference in z and b of the same size. Also I have never seen a SeaVee with Lebroc helm seats, they all have the SeaVee leaning post. Iím a huge fan of the lebroc helm seats, Iím assuming SeaVee being semi-custom, they would install those if you chose? Curious to read more owners input.

when the transducer is in front of the steps, it helps because the turbulence is behind the xducer. at speed, the bow is rising and turbulence is more forward. reading bottom on any given day can change with conditions and speed and load in the boat. a xducer has to remain submerged with not turbulence

I’ve seen several at the factory with Llebroc Helm seats. One actually had motorized slides too.
