Have to agree with Dave. Eric and Lindsey took a huge leap of faith and did things that will make all of the following boats better.

Update on Eastward Boats:
We have 4 boats on the water and 7 additional boats in different stages of production at the plant. Number 11 is in the mold right now. Customers stop by on a weekly basis and hang out, talk to the crew and get to see their boat being built. It's like CHEERS, only without the bar.....

Even though I'm way up in the build queue, boat #14, I'm excited and know Dave and I will land on a great solution that fits my needs.

Can't wait to see #14 come out

You should have a Shark mouth painted on the front.

Awesome boat, sorry I can't find what is the trolling motor's voltage and does it actually hold position or has it been tested offshore?

The trolling motor is 36 volt. The day we tested it we were in a 5 to 6 knot current and 15 mph winds. It held the boat in place with the anchor feature, no problem. I then used the remote control and was able to move against the current, down the shoreline, like a 30' bass boat with a hard top.........

What happened with your sled UCF? I ran up to Burdines for lunch today and wondered how she was doing. We haven’t heard anything since she made it to the Keys.

How’s she doing? Any performance numbers? How are the Evinrudes doing? One of my buddies just pulled his G2s off his Prowler and went with Suzuki’s. He was over it. Steering issues etc. I hope you are having better luck.

I enjoyed following this build, boat looked awesome. Strange that UCF went silent with no final review of the boat, no closure to this thread. Something is up.

Looks like his last post was months ago, maybe even gusting 3 months. Barring any natural disasters or personal crisis, if someone was excited about their purchase you couldn't keep them off of here. Thus the cause for speculation.

49 pages of build thread, then after the boat is done, nothing. Crickets. UCF still posts regularly on here, almost daily.

I, like many others, would like to read a final review. Given the above, it's logical to assume there is a reason for not closing out the thread. Just having too much fun to post on this particular thread that he started? Hopefully. Motor issues?

I will be in the market for a 30ish cat next year, and i am very interested in Eastward builds. The end.

He gave several updates on his performance numbers. This thread has almost 1000 posts, so I think he and Dave done more than their part to keep us entertained.

Well if you say so, then I guess we are all satisfied. Thanks for closing it out. We feel much better now.

We haven't heard from them either, it's been several months since we're been down to the Keys. We have been so busy we haven't gotten back down there to hang out with Eric and Lindsay, like we had planned. I do follow her post on Facebook, the girl is killing it in the Real Estate market. If anyone is looking to buy or sell a home in Florida, she's the one to call.

Update on Eastward. We just delivered another boat this week and have 3 more that will leave out in the next few weeks. We will be at the the Miami International Boat Show, with our new demo, giving rides at the Evinrude docks. Come see the boat and hang out with us.
