Default Switches

I love those switches. So much more class than those old school toggle black ones.

Like people already said earlier. It wasnt mounted yet. Dave was just excited to show me the MDFs. He texted me the pic and I was excited so I posted it.

Even if it was completed, I would want you to say something. The opinions help me. And my feedback helps Dave constantly improve his brand.

Thank you for commenting and watching the build
The curse is real! I remounted a $6 light on my bay boat 5 times yesterday because of the curse.

Nope... ones I found are only rated at 2 Amps. Any idea where these came from?

It's goldilocks sized. Not overbaring to where it would be in the way, but big enough to provide a great deal of storage or fish/ice.

For reference I'm 6' 250ish

Agreed.

It's a good example of Dave taking into consideration his clients opinions.

I told him I didnt want the old style rocker switches and most people probably wouldnt. He kept it in his mind and found these. I believe these are now the standard switches. If they are NOT the standard now, dont shoot the messenger.

No they dont have built in circuit breakers. They still run to a breaker panel.

I have never seen those switches with the symbols on them. Who makes those? So much better than having a panel just to name them.

One of the things I plan to do is a full wiring harness diagram for the boat.

I don't think I've seen the breaker panel. Is there a picture of it?

I replaced all the fuses on my motorcycles with plug in breakers. If say a headlight trips it will auto reset before you could get pulled over much less stop and replace a fuse in the dark.

Yea, yea I know you are supposed to find the cause first but at times the auto reset makes more sense.

I'll take some pics and post. We are using two fuse panels to supply power to the switches and electronics. Standard blade fuses. I do have some prototype breakers that look like blade fuses and plug in the same way, but I want to test them first on my demo boat. Not 100% sure they are made for a saltwater environment. If they work, simply replace each fuse with a plug-in breaker, but the jury is still out.....

I love these switches and they are now standard (Thanks UCF) They are LED back-lit when activated, weatherproof, stainless steel and have a 3-year warranty.

Thanks Dave. Those breakers are just as good as the fuses they replace. The ones I used werecsesled better than the fuses. The inside of fuses will corrode eventually if in wet. Secret is to grease or protect the blades and fuses/breakers when new. My motorcycle fuse block is fine after years and we rode wet many times. I've never touched that panel since i installed the breakers. Never had one trip. The fuses were failing because I was using high wattage fog lights. Went LED. No more trips.

This is the same switches. Maybe Dave found another supplier. I suppose you could get the cover decals from anywhere and just trim to size. 4 bucks per decal is a bit usury when you can get a whole sheet for that price. Haven't found the suitable set of decals yet.
