Default New Motors

What a roller coaster. So readers digest version:

Dave really went to bat for us. Ended up getting evinrude to buy back my other motors and was able to purchase new motors with idock

Cost a few bucks, but after going on a boat with idock at ibex it was something we really wanted. Then after Dave secured the deal for all his clients, we knew we had to try to get something done.

So now boat is going to be going back into the rigging shop late next week.

An evinrude tech needs to program the idock. So when we run the boat I will give a full report.

I have read all threads about Dave's cats and the mono hull. What people say about him speaks volumes about him as a person and as a business owner.
Keep your postings coming, looks like you are buying both a great boat, a business relationship and getting a good friend in the process.

That's awesome news, I'm so happy for you that it worked out. Great job Dave and kudos to Evinrude for taking care of their customers!

Now hang those motors!!

Happy to hear Evinrude stepped up to buy back your motors.
After Dave secured the deal with Evinrude and iDock I knew I had to get one as well.
Thanks Dave for building a great boat and a business.

Oh and good to see two today. We finally left about 4. That was a super deal on the G2's. Per day they will take then back and reflash to latest firmware even though they never left the boxes. Sure was hoping to hear them run. Getting closer.

"So when we run the boat I will give a full report."

You actually plan to run the motors, in the water, and get the boat out of Dave's shop?
I thought this hull was like the perpetual student and was always going to be tweaked sitting there. I think Dave uses it as his other demo boat - what you could do besides the baseline configuration.
Yes, we all are curious as to what the extra 100 ponies in the water will do. Hopefully better cruise #. Top end is only realizable on limited good weather days,
Its great that all parties saw a benefit of swapping the motors.

Default Boat Outfitters

Stopped by Boat outfitters/ teak isle to pick up some doors and such. They were shipping out a ton of stuff. I see why they are so darn expensive, it sure doesn't seem like it hurts their business at all.

Just an fyi. When I unpacked at home, it was packed very professionally.

Stopped in the shop today.

These are the shade canopy poles we are going to use. They fit into a standard fishing rod holder. They seemed very solid. I liked them.

They also adjust... from lindsay size to lindsay size x2?

Might be worth looking at mounting frame to live well instead of floor. You could have the welder add a couple of those same hinges between the bottom of the leg and the foot that allow it to stay flush to live well when not in use.

I would avoid screwing into the deck for a few reasons:

1) Would prefer not to have any penetrations in the deck where possible
2) As Jump says, it’s going to be in the way of accessing your most critical hatches
3) It will also remove benefit of being able to stand against livewell when fishing with your toes under the well

Looks great tho!

Some good points all around. I wonder if the seat part slides out?
