Take your time. You can't rush quality. I know I'm on the schedule coming up, but I'm in no hurry. I'm waiting on numbers for the twin 300's. Love looking at your build threads. Keep the boat porn up...

Just as long as #10 is done by mid September for break in before heading down to Cudjoe for first two weeks of October.

But seriously, hope you keep enjoying this experience.

Default Seating update

So the point of joining THT for me was basically to learn what I didn’t know (ironically, you don’t know what you don’t know). You get to learn from a vast amount of people with all types of backgrounds.

The goal of this thread for me, was to let others learn from my experiences. Positive and negative. Its kind of my way of paying back for everything that I have learned from other builds and general information learned on here.

This is my story about my seating experience:

So I was working on my LLebroc order before Christmas and they were just delivered today. We encountered delays from blizzards, delays because my seat was a brand new seat design, delays from new fabric that is guaranteed not to pink for a few years, and delays for my black arms. They also had to remake part of the seat because they placed the wrong color in the incorrect spot.

Today was the day…. Seats were being delivered. Which means we could mount them on the tackle center and then do a “sizing” with Dave to see how far back we would place it from the console (truly custom).

Seats arrived damaged. Dave gave me a call and we rejected the shipment and they are on there way back. Dave said Llebroc packaged the seats well, it just looks like something was placed on top of them or something fell on them in transit. Hopefully they are reupholstered in a timely fashion.

So here is the learning lesson: If you go with Llebroc seats, which Im sure many will (they build some really nice seats), order early. 2 to 3 week projected turnaround time has turned into almost 4 months. A lot of the delay has been because there was a learning curve for the new seat line.

If I would have just went with the makos like everyone else this probably wouldn’t have happened. But I really liked these. lol

Oh man, that just sucks, sorry man. I'm sure they'll step up to prioritize turning that order right around for you.

That really sucks, but with the time and effort you, you wife, Dave and the Eastward team have put into this boat, I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Plus I get to follow your build a little longer.

Thumbs up

So yea you could have gone with Makos but every time you sit on them the thought of not having what you want will bother you. The time and effort put into this build is well worth the wait.
